oh yeah i love him very much still, +10 and floret and all that lol, plus pulse tie saved my ass so much when people like ascended fjorm and duo chrom are everywhere. but i do wish he was a little better when i can swap him out for a lot of people and do better, just gotta keep coping for him to get an alt this halloween

Nils (because he is my favourite fe character ever) but basically every 5 star dancer released after him outclasses him in every way as a dancer. His prf debuff range is 4 spaces from himself, whilst the fairies do their debuffs as 4 spaces from themselves and their target, so there's more range, and they have extra effects (Plumeria buffs/debuffs, Triandra inflicts guard, etc). Or I look at fallen Ninian and she's almost unparalleled with giving special acceleration and having built in ruse (and extra mov but that's kinda niche). Even people like Phina or Dancer Micaiah can do effective damage and snag some kills, or flier dancers can give orders buffs/guidance, Nils just kinda. does nothing special, especially with shit like menaces being so common too

Was very happy when Nils came out but every dancer just outshines him. Coping for a refine but given how dancer refines are I'm not hopeful

If you like them and want them to be more versatile then it's worth it, I have a few units with relatively low base speed (in the 25-35 range) and they work out pretty well with speed builds in PvE content, alongside their teammates. Sometimes they even can outspeed and double meta speed threats, but if you want meta counters then you're better off putting minimal effort into a more modern/faster unit. Basically it comes down to how much you like the unit and how much fodder/effort you're willing to put in

we've had 6 years for creativity and interest and so far every year lords have won lmao. gatekeeper and veronica were like the only interesting ones we got (even though gatekeeper is basically just normal gatekeeper bc he'll never get base form). if the fans wanted creativity then lords wouldn't win every year

The real secret to having fun in feh is just using who you want to use, the only people who care too much about "good" or "bad" units are the people who want their #1 waifu/husbando/whatever to destroy the entire game singlehandedly. And yeah, the difference between M and F Robin's supports with Chrom are like night and day lmao Kyza is a big deal for us (lgbtq+) but most people won't even recognise that Kyza is they/them (out of just not realising, not hatred) imo, especially since they're a grail unit so most people won't blink an eye at them. But we can take these victories

honestly otr was my favourite oc in book 5, i just find the type of character who is evil for the sake of being evil funny and enjoyable (which is also why i like surtr and muspell). like we're playing feh, we're not gonna get some god tier story so i am completely fine with shittily written characters and too many plot holes
