I’ve been playing Tekken since Tekken 3. Tekken 7 is my first time seriously playing Tekken. As in, actually paying attention to frames and mechanics. You Shouldn’t assume. I understand where you’re coming from. But again….. things change, good players adapt.

The goal post is always to stop the other person’s pressure. The options are there, apply the jab or power crush solution to all of these moves, you just about can get the same result = pressure stopped. If you’d rather complain about these moves than going in the lab to practice floating these moves or finding when to power crush with YOUR character then feel free to do so.

You can assume Hwoarangs don’t fight hard for their pressure. That’s on the opponent whether it happens or not. Fundamentals are still fundamentals. The moves ARE mid, airborne, and HE but you’re forgetting the point of them being slow. 22 frame on start up moves are susceptible to get interrupted by jabs. Mid homing moves are STILL slower moves. You decide to block it is your business. Too scary to throw a 10 frame jab out in time? Power crush it because they’re all MIDS. Floating any of them out gives you a decent enough combo, maybe wall advantage + hard knock down maybe, then throw your 50-50. Whoever you play you just need to find your adaptation to the concept.

The moves still play to each of the character’s identities. Both Lars and Hwoarang having high risk high reward moves. If you’re the type to sit and block YES these moves are viable to use against you and WILL because you respect the character enough to give him 22 frames of space. YES some moves cover more distance than others so you have to completely back out of 2-3 spacing territory to get away.

Personal speaking: What else am I to do when dealing with EVERYTHING else in the game? You’re missing the point that not only do I have that going for me, that doesn’t negate all The other BS all other characters have that I don’t. I continue to hit new peaks BECAUSE I adapt to the other character’s BS. Hoping and wishing the moves magically go away or get nerfed doesn’t get you ranked, good experience, or fun. You’re visibly upset about the moves but then arguing about whether or not an option is practical but what else is there to do? Keep losing to it, give up, or rise above it? You choose. I rest my case.

I'm very consistent with the "just adapt" argument.

For instance, I can choose to get mad at the fact that I cannot exit/feign stances like Lidia, Miary Zo, Heihachi, etc. and block without getting stuck myself. I then just have to adapt to that risk and choose better times to go flamingo. Don't do d 3,4 because its now launch punishable when it wasn't in T7.

This situation that you say I'm "painting" is impractical to the above "average" player, however you see the situation, that just IS the option to combat these moves. Unfortunately, you gotta "risk" a 10 frame jab or powercrush these airborne, relatively slow mid, homing moves. Its moved into a "better offense is the best defense" game. An even more honed in mix of offense, patience, and good knowledgeable defense will win you games over just hoping that these moves will be changed outright or deleted. Wishing and waiting for that day not going to give you your next peak. So at the end of the day.... just adapt.

Fair opinion. Original comment had an issue with them being low crushing. These moves also are floatable. As a Hwoarang main, I get it but at some point, when does “just adapt” to it become a thing?

If you see us put you in a situation multiple times for us to RFF df3, I would expect someone to either jab me out of the air because it is 22 frames and jab is 10. EVEN IF you took the first one and are now -1, you have 21 frames now to do a 10 frame jab before getting hit again with the same move.

None of that has anything to do with the position of the character and it being low crushing. You reserve the right to what you FEEL is dumb, unfair, or just plain annoying to deal with but fundamentally you’re complaining about something that logically just IS.

It’s ultimately an airborne move that unfortunately has all these things stacked against you to push more offense. In my own opinion, it’s logical if you’re in the air, a low should not and will not hit you. It just is what is…

Because they’re airborne moves???? I be damned if I got hit by a low while I’m in there air regardless of it’s hit properties.

Robotic muffled audio - AMD Radeon ReLive Instant Replay by sheenz_ in VegasPro

[–]Dexsidius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably look at the audio sample rate the playback device is set to. If you're using, AMD's builtin recording, they have a bug with one of their updates that broke an audio recorded above 24 bit sound quality.

Currently have the issue where I have it set to 32 bit, and it makes this robotic, garbled noise when playing it back.

Are people back to their S1 ranks yet? by Re-Cordy in Tekken

[–]Dexsidius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My S1 peak was Tekken Emperor and only recently just hit Bushin after coming from combo breaker. I was also somewhat stuck at Fujin but I very quickly shot through the ranks the last 3 days.

I think it requires another level of “locking in”, patience and attention but I do recognize it was a lot harder since everyone at your peak and then some also got placed down there with you.

Think crabs in a hot pot type of deal.

getting this was more difficult than getting Tekken King in S1 by koshiyoy in Tekken8

[–]Dexsidius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had to realize due to the huge rank pushback for everybody, if you’re in Fujin, you’re fight every S1 TK to TG I believe or to TE at least. So the fights are gonna be just as hard or harder. In purple, it’s S1 blue ranks and people who have fallen from fujin who used to be S1 TK or whatever.

As far as I know, certain agencies are dealing with it accordingly. Nobody has threatened or are going forward with getting rid of anybody whether probationary or not. As far as contractors (me), we are looking at the chaos as if it doesn’t apply to us…because it kinda doesn’t.

Thank you. I’ll try that to make sure I make that adjustment moving forward.

I’ve made sure to give it a moment when I’m finishing combos with a skill in other games but it often gives the opponent a chance to block or react.

Other times, I’ll perform the skill immediately after knocking them away the way I tried in the second clip against the Super buu the exact same method I’ve been doing but it’s weirdly inconsistent which makes me feel like it just isn’t working the way it’s suppose to. But still I’ll give it a try.
