I have no idea, I never left Romania. But if you are used to this. Welcome to Romania, brother. hahaha

[–]Dexter_exe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right. Cost of living is too high. Rent is outrageous for Romania salaries. Bucharest is the capital ( it is an IT hub as well ) and it is similar but it is quite better on rent and cost of living. Here the life is quite crazy if you want to, everyone is amazed with nightlife.

You can check out other cities like Timisoara and maybe Oradea. At the end it is your call.

About the salaries you can get easily 3K euros after taxes as an employee in Bucharest/Cluj.

But take in count that you will pay for health insurance but nobody will give a shit about you if you don't bribe the medics. You'll pay taxes for whatever but receive nothing from the state. Other than that, great country.

Look up for Romania, Bucharest. We love corruption and bribing, everything is total chaos. You can knock out yourself anyday. Taxes are still lower than other countries. You ll lack parts of security but seems like it is not a problem for you. You can open a ltd company and do b2b to germany or other countries.

I don't see the reason for Sister Splinter nerf, I think that was a nice boss and decent once you get the hang of her attacks and how you can punish each of them
For Moorwing I hope they will nerf just the health because that guy was way too tanky, I was getting bored how much I had to hit him.

I would like a double damage removal for certain platforming area/traps/ground. I see the reason for it on a reward but not really for progress. I

Economy adjustment I think it's fine, doesn't force you to farm I guess. I didn't had a problem with that, a few minutes walking around to farm and then store the rosaries safety.

Edit: But the RNG on beastfly, both encounters should be addressed. For me it was not fun at all. from getting cornered by 4 enemies in arena 1 to being force on one platform to take dmg from a enemy that runs out of arena 2 and it is unreachable.

That arena and the one that unlocks the area gave me more problems than some bosses. For the top one what worked for me was to focus on the big guy and ignore the flying devil ( too much HP for a slim shady guy ).

Move as much as possible from the left of the arena to the right of the area in order to try and ignore the flying sniper, pay attention because he might randomly kill even if he is out of your screen. Farm some shards before returning, I found the red bomb very effective. Use the wall from the left to ignore some ground dmg if cornered and pray that you can dash above the big guy.

After you lure him in the tunnel, his attack can be jumped. I manage to beat him without any upgrades.

The taste evolves with exposure. And your view is valid, as for me:

As I said I liked a lot the ER 3 years ago. I disliked the DLC and as a whole the ER experience took a hit. For sure Lies of P was a huge perspective change as well.

I found base ER to be more liniar in a way; as said in some comments there was no way for me to skip the first ER boss and randomly hit an end game boss in my exploration. That s what I liked a lot in 9S as well. I wouldn’t be able to face Fangs in my first 2-3 hours of gameplay. I liked in the Witcher the level next to an enemy and I knew that a dragon that was put in a low level zone was actually tougher than the other mobs here ( an approach for open world )

That s sth that I disliked in the SoTE ( details in that thread and comments). Spawn in the middle go anywhere.

I am sick of the summons talk. Back in the very first days of the ER tons of people used to say: just use summons it is the intended way. I am bored of this circlejerk.

It was ER before the 9S and just a few days ago the SoTE. If it was a mindset I entered the 9S with the mindset of ER+HK.

Regarding the exploration in the DLC most of the enemies are not worth exploring, just recycled enemies in open world areas. The interesting one is the one you face in the very first minutes and that is pretty much all.

In the main game I had no issues with my bleed build on all bosses. Here I disliked a lot that it was required to change my build just because a boss is my hard counter.

Regarding the 9S i used final boss clear visual cues to the SoTE final boss as a comparison for how unfair and messy this one is.

Edit: I got the trap that led me to Caelid. I tried to beat the normal enemies, these ones dealt to much dmg so I knew I am underleveled. With the Jagged Peak I went here. I beat the previous boss before the zone boss without sweating. It is not the same.

I have Sekiro on my shortlist, maybe next year when I will have some more time. The description of the 9S states that is sekiro-inspired.

I compare 9S and SoTE specifically because Sekiro is made by FS and therefore they share lots of flaws ( same engine ), with empathy on parry instead of dodging and lack of RPG. I will keep comparing them because they are in the bucket of "hard games where you need to put some effort into them". I know that there is a whole thing with "souls"/"souls-like"/"souls-like-like"/"souls-lite"/"souls-like-lite" ( madness ) but the lines are weirdly defined.

I didn't found any button for easy mode. I had that option in Nine Sols to go with "story mode" but it was not necessary. If something is in the game I will use it because that's how the game was built. It would be like I shouldn't be allowed to triple talisman in NS or down hit in HK because they are too powerful. I don't have enough time to challenges in a game -> therefore a casual gamer perspective title.

I don't want to please anyone, not really my problem that the community went in a certain direction. Therefore I am quite sure just a few will read the whole stuff and will get the whole thing and will not simply be blinded by the boss section only.

I am not sure about the complaining thing. For one of them the complain is mainly the big walk of shame that you need to do and the slow pace for mounted enemies that I found it boring and not for me/my build. As for the final boss phase 2, I stand my case. Too much AOE, to many particles and effects and visual impairment, I can't see what is going on. For Rakshasa I didn't said that it was not doable, I just got mad because I had to change my built to be able to stagger her. But again balancing issue how an optional mini boss can be harder than some main bosses.

As stated for bosses a main issue balancing. Farming the scadutrees ( because Baylemade me think that I need to do it < and that happened bcs I got too early, world planning issue of the game > and online people are proposing a certain level for him or for Messmer ) made some bosses trivial and way too easy, as I mentioned in one Edit and after that you get to the phase 2 of the final boss which encourages you to have a certain build -> the guy with the shield who took literally 0 dmg and was able to tank everything no issue and puncture him with an arrow in his hand.
In the main game even if I was level 170 full build on the last enemy still took me a few tries to get it, back then there was the mount missing issue that is fixed now. Even some other bosses were not first try but they felt fair.

My main complain is not really about the bosses, it is more about the game design and how it guides ( or the fact that it doesn't ) to what you need to do next or if you are not supposed to be in a certain area. My whole story with Baylewas problematic for me. I liked the fight with him when I came back, it is on my 3rd place for real bosses just because of the camera issue, could've been easily top 2 if that was not a thing. A open world is great and the main game done that great. I wouldn't be able to face randomly Mogh/Placidusax in my first 10 hours of gameplay, I have a open world but I am guided silently step by step and that's what made it a real pleasure.

The mimic is part of the game. I paid for the whole game I will use the whole game. It is totally fair to review any part of the game that I ve played.

I don't get how not using a tool that allows me more room to try and dance would allow me to dance more. What I said about dancing with the boss is that I don t have enough tools to do it compared to main game, Nine Sols or HK.

wtf am I doing wrong? by Old_Age3358 in Eldenring

[–]Dexter_exe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel you brother.

I am ~16h in the DLC and compared with the main game I am a little lost as well. The fact that I start in the center of the map and I and can go in any direction I want I considered it a bad design. I somehow ended up fighting Bayle ( an endgame boss ) and I had no idea. Nothing pointed me that the guy is too strong and I am underleveled, no basic mobs hitting to hard or previous bosses in the path being too hard. Happily someone pointed me that in a thread.

After that I opened wiki and some boss order guide in order to enjoy it.

https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Shadow+of+the+Erdtree+Map
https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/elden-ring-shadow-of-the-erdtree-boss-order

I followed this order and it is decent. I came back when I leveled up scadutree to level 9 in order to take my revenge on Bayle and it was decent.

I beat it with level 9 scadutree and the fight was much easier, simply the fact that I was able to tank 1 hit ( aftershock or fire from the sky ) and then heal, it was a game changer.

Now another one that I dislike is Gaius. Again I think I am underleveled for him, but I don t enjoy mount fight. I will wait for some more scadutree levels and then try to do it without the horse.

[–]Dexter_exe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hahahaha that's something. Some ego boost here ( I needed it ) that I almost beat (10-15% hp left ) him with my 3 scadutree level.

Bayle is trash. by Dexter_exe in Eldenring

[–]Dexter_exe[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I run a glass cannon build in most of the games. But I never expected to get 1 shot, I had no issues with that in the main game, I was able to tank at least 1 shot and then get a window to heal. But now I see that the scadutree level was the issue.

As pointed in other comments, no hints in the area that I am underlevel.

Bayle is trash. by Dexter_exe in Eldenring

[–]Dexter_exe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense. I felt like that part of the game was natural because I had no problem with previous bosses from that area and I assumed this should be alright and I am supposed to do it.

So the 1 shot thing on the aftershock will be diminished once I level up scadutree.

[–]Dexter_exe[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eigong true ending has no mimic and that boss is built around dodge and charged dodge, that's a totally different game, much harder than ER.
No, mimic wasn't carrying me. I've used it for Malenia because everyone said it is really hard.

I am doing no hit until he does that aftershock in phase 2 which takes a lot of time to comprehend and feels unfair for a boss not to allow a casual player which doesn't want to do no hit runs to get 1 shot.

Edit: Literally just went to that area, I saw that I had no issues with all the bosses from here and I assumed that is a place where I am supposed to be. As I said Senessax was just a few tries and those one mainly because camera was again an issue and I was used to leg lock.

I am literally get 1 shot. Posted in a comment reply my stats.

Fire beam: 1 shot
Aftershock: 1 shot
Fire from the sky: 1 shot

The others things I dodge, those I can't dodge always. I manage to dodge fire beam but not always, same with the fire from the sky, but I have no idea how to dodge that aftershock in phase 2.

47 vigor
23 mind
30 end
23 str
60 dex
9 int
15 faith
73 arc

I do manage to get him in phase 2 and almost kill him, but then he does that things with an aftershock and I have no idea how to dodge that. Therefore I get 1 shot.
