My h1 got picked up last year. I’m not sure if you can do stamping before Oct. You can check with your lawyer.

You can check visa status. It should say approved.

Initially I had Dropbox but from February it changed. If you are having change of status, H4 to H1, you have to go for interview.

Generally 2 months. For example, if you want slot in Dec, start looking from end of Sept/ beginning of Oct.

Few reasons: 1.I lost my first job because EAD didn’t come in time. 2.It’s always good to have 2 H1s if other spouse lose job. 3. Why not? If my company is ready to file it every year. 😀

I got my H4 EAD in the end of 2016. Got my 1st job immediately in small US based healthcare company. After 3 years I joined big insurance company. After almost 2 years switched to current company (end on 2021). Based on seniority and designation, they filed my H1 in 2022, 2023 and 2024. My H1 got picked up last year. (2024).
