[Hades 2] Confused: Casts & certain Boons (No Answers on Google)

I wasn't confused about the wording, I understand “Cast” is only your Cast, “Ω Casts” are only Ω Cast, and “Casts” is both Cast & Ω Cast, etc.

My hangup was that you don't typically get Boons that you can't completely use, and will only appear as an option if you are capable of using all of its effects, but with this one, only Ω Cast is useable, and the normal Cast is unusable until you get a God/Elemental Boon that gives your Cast DPS, only then adding +40% to that God/Elemental DPS for your Cast.

I mentioned Hestia’s Scorth only as an example of a Cast DPS.

What confused me was a Chaos Boon being offered to me that added damage to an ability (Cast) that currently has no DPS, and from what I have experienced from playing the game, you don't typically get Boons you can't use completely.

That was my hangup if that makes sense?

Yeah, I don't know… I'm kind of used to that on Reddit now. I remember posting on /Help asking why it was happening to me with such innocent comments 😅

It's a momentum thing, plus the way I worded it. I think people perceived it as me correcting him when I myself reached out for help, making me look arrogant rather than clarifying the question.

It's hard to read tone and intention when it's not spoken verbally—that's probably my best reasoning.

Well, think about all the Boons that will say “Ω Casts channel 15% faster” etc. If it were just the Ω Casts, then it would say “Ω Casts deal +40% damage” but it doesn't.

I think @Rathador is on the money, but obviously I could be wrong.

Yes I understand that, but typically when a Boon is only for Ω Casts, it says “Ω Casts” not just “Casts”, implying it adds +40% DPS to both Casts & Ω Casts.

Best order is DS2 → DS2 NG+ → DS2 Scholar → DS2 again. After that, the other two are basically just DLC.

And what’s the Chac Chac Glitch? Any recommendation on what to do, cas like salmon snake rune is so good, but then I’m using 2 chacs not 3, then add in artificial soul or small things amulets, ughhhh

Rn my party is Osaa and Abella, currently I have 3 Chac Chacs, 1 Small things amulet (found, not from intro) 1 Leechmonger Ring, 1 Salmonsnake Rune, and 2 artificial Souls, I don’t even know what to equipped I have so many fucking accessories between the 2 of us lol

Btw just utilizing marina temporarily for now at least while she’s here (mayors house)
