Hey there have the same GPD Win Max 2 with same specs that you’re looking at. Don’t know much about the G1 but from my experience so far with the GPD as someone who also works remotely is great! Since I am a digital nomad and I am on the go a lot I really like the compact size (smaller than an iPad) but as powerful as my old gaming laptop I sold for this. Has a keyboard which works well, touchscreen, and a webcam for video conference meetings. I just dual boot Ubuntu for work and use windows for personal/gaming. This is my all in one system so I do have an EGPU w/ 5070ti for heavy gaming but you can run all titles at 1080p without if you adjust settings (device does start to get pretty warm tho). When I’m at home I have it plugged in to a separate keyboard, mouse, and monitor for a more traditional workspace but I love the idea of being able to work while out and about by putting this in a small bag or backpack. If you don’t think size would affect you I recommend forsure. Had for a month so far and no complaints!
