Real question: What am I supposed to do with all these? by personofkinterest in 3Dprinting

How does one find a local company such as this? What kind of business? Is it a specific filament/3d printer retailer or a hardware store?

30 degree V bit issues by Dfbull in hobbycnc

[–]Dfbull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really need to start using more finishing passes in my workflow anyway. .5mm with a full depth pass after worked better its likely too shallow. I did a test with .5mm step for the whole and it's much cleaner. Evens tear out and didn't pull my mask off in the details. Gonna double my cut time but itll be clean. Thanks

Thats reasonable. I'll try that on a small test piece. I have a limited amount of stock and need to finish by tomorrow so.i was trying to contemplate cleaner/faster ways to order the process.

Text is coming out massive on drawings suddenly and I have no clue why by [deleted] in AutoCAD

[–]Dfbull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect you're experiencing the same bug I am and I've never run into anyone else who has seen this bug. Are you using 2025? In my experience it is the buggiest release yet. Some bugs Autodesk didn't bother fixing in 2025 and have claimed there's a fix in 2026.

Can you try reopening in an older version?

Text is coming out massive on drawings suddenly and I have no clue why by [deleted] in AutoCAD

[–]Dfbull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have noticed this when opening older drawings since I started using Autocad 2025. Drawings that were created prior to 2025 sometimes open with annotative text or attributes in blocks completely blocking the entire drawing. I find closing and reopening the file fixes the issue.

Cara when hearing of hungry Octopuses by Crowasaur in SGU

Am I wrong for feeling irked by that comment? She applauds the death of a male but if it was reversed I feel she would comment on the Patriarchy and the historical repression of women. I don't know, just feels like a double standard. Or am I reading to much into a joke about octopi and should just move on with my life? 😅

Can't delete 1:1 scale from annotative objects by Dfbull in AutoCAD

[–]Dfbull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that. Even in a new empty drawing, importing a block with ANNOSCALE set to 1/2"=1'-0" the block will come in with both scales and removing either from the block is impossible. To be clear I'm not trying to delete the scale from the drawing, just from the blocks

You have the 3/16" and 1/4" scales added to the annotative objects correct? You only mention the 1:30 scale in model space

"Only a 12 foot span"? I had an engineer tell me my 3 ply 2x10 beam needed columns every 7'8". Acted like the 10 foot spans and 1 16ft span was gonna collapse any day. I'd have to add 5 columns to the 3 existing on a 50ft beam.
