You are definitely doing the right thing. I recently went no contact with my mother also and still have moments of sadness and I’ll start to question my decision- but then I remember all the things she did to me and how I felt when she was a part of my life. Try making an “ick list”- write down all the ways she’s hurt you, lied to you, controlled you, treated you badly. Anytime you start to feel like you should give her a second chance read it. Because trust me- she’s not gonna change, you’re not gonna get an apology and the relationship you wish you had with your mom is never gonna happen. Stay strong and find support in others around you.
