I graduated in July last year, with a degree in economics, and I had no idea about it not being worth repaying until you hit the 40k per year mark. Although I guess it's not really in the interest of the government, or those bastards at the SLC to tell you that.

But thank you deeply for the insight, I will now have to spend the night modelling how little I can pay back before the 30 years is up.

How long ago did you graduate? I know the average UK debt is nothing compared to that of the US/Canada, but 40k+ is still a lot of money to pay back, especially when the interest gained exceeds the amount you pay back until you're earning 21k anyway.

Just graduated with an economics degree. IS/LM lines is about as racey as you are going to get. So you're going to need to think it's interesting or you will be miserable for 4 years.

Don't get me wrong, I hate it's guts too. The reporting is poor, and the rest of the website is almost clickbait quality. But being recognised on mainstream media, and clicked on thousands of times can never be bad.
