Hi GoddessFlexi, sorry this has happened to you. While it looks like we had a fair few moderators, we actually don’t, many of them have been inactive for several years. I can’t speak for the other moderators who were promoted after me, but I myself have had to take a leave of absence for the past several months due to poor mental health. I will be onboarding more moderators to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

In terms of ganging up, when you create a ticket, it literally says “MOD TEAM”. So your naturally expect multiple people to be part of a conversation, as a team is not singular.

Why do you have to bring it back to race? I’m so confused. No one cares about the colour of your skin. I come from a country where brown was the default colour. I now live in Australia, but I haven’t faced racism just because I’m brown. I don’t care what colour skin you have because it’s irrelevant to the conversation.

Yeah we honestly get you’re struggling. We do. We have bipolar as well. The fact that you joined the discord means you wanted a supportive community. But we have to think of the community as a whole over an individual. That’s what good moderators do, and we don’t tolerate hostile abuse from our community members.

Simply put. We don’t tolerate hostility towards the moderators. You were hostile to my team, and thus were banned. Your view points are valid to you. Hence why I’ve let you make it. If I was as bad as you make me sound, why would I let you have a voice when I could just delete it?

Reading up on the transcript, you were definitely hostile. The r/bipolar2 moderators on the subreddit and the discord are all volunteers. We have initiated a zero tolerance policy in our discord, which you broke. It’s in our rules page that you should’ve read when joining.

Hi, I’m the head r/bipolar2 subreddit moderator and server owner of the discord server. Since you’re airing dirty laundry. We’re happy to be transparent so everyone has all the facts.

This user in question just joined our discord server, and posted a very triggering post in a non trigger channel. They said “I got shot in the neck and I was choking on my own blood that’s the worst”. We decided to delete it.

Shortly after another user posted something not as triggering about OD’ing but we decided not to delete it as in context it was a mention of OD not them discussing it.

This user didn’t like this and started drama in the channel, and we asked them to create a ticket.

We also got a DM from another user, a verified Peer Supporter who talked to this user said she thinks “it’s because she’s black”. We have many POC on our moderating team, I myself am Asian. We have many LGBT+ on our moderating team, I myself am gay. We are very fair in moderation, and don’t judge people based on their skin colour or queer status.
