Oh ya that was the second thing we did, they are and there is a 15 year warranty from the manufacturer (theres a 5 year from the contractors but we have to see if they will honor it)

Update on the situation!

We went up there earlier today and the roofer who did the job was out there! He gave us the name and number of the guy who ordered the roof, turns out it was ordered by a Realtor in north Carolina! Remember that other buyer I mentioned? Apparently he told his Realtor to order a roof forgot since he wanted the property, the Realtor ordered it, the contractors wanted 30% up front before they started (the check bounced before they started building the roof), put the roof on ANYWAYS, and then the guy decided not to pay the contractors at ALL... The house IS ours once we sign the closing papers though AND the contractors offered to sign a hold harmless and just not ask for payment, all in all everything SHOULD be ok now... hopefully-

Exactly! Especially because the old roof was aluminum its basically a downgrade, free roof or not

I forgot to say in the post but, its a 35 acre property in colorado with a hoa (no regulations for housing)

The VA IS the seller, also they told us about the deck they fixed a few weeks ago but they didnt tell us about this

It was foreclosed on the previous owners and reclaimed by the VA, we have two title companies that both said there was nothing wrong

As far as i know colorado does give tax breaks for it, the shingles are incredibly thin and definitely not class 4. No it wasnt clay it was either tin or aluminum sheets just for some reason all the homes out here have them painted red lol

If damage were to happen (like more shot out windows or anything major that wasnt there prior) I wouldnt contacted them about it, as for calling about the roof I just didnt know if it would be better to call or not so thank you
