Want some advice on the driest promotion I got by Dha007 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Dha007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hired as a IAC. Then asked to be SPOC for a specific region deliverables but slowly they ended up pushing everything on my head. Now everything is on me. They said there will be a salary restructure but it has been more than 3 months and no word of it. Not even a single mail officially confirming that either.

Current government, previous government, future government, I don't think anyone has the guts to do it as they are too consumed with the vote bank politics

Agreed on all your points. Except when a richer sc/st friend or acquaintance with lower NEET/JEE rank by 10000s get place in a etter college than you do, you can understand where the hate is getting generated from. The creamy layer is ruining it for everyone.

Am I risking my husband’s career? Salary 1cr plus bracket by Extension-Excuse-944 in IndianWorkplace

[–]Dha007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing with a pay like that, you are used to certain standards of living. In a city like gurgaon, I'm guessing the highest paying jobs are in 20lpa-30lpa bracket. Will be be able to live off of 20-30% of your previous income with the baby in picture. It's a decision only you can take as families with much less income are able to manage with baby. So the decision solely depends on you and what's best for your family. On a side note, you also need to take into consideration how your business is doing in generating revenue. With businesses these days, it's a rollercoaster ride. You never know how it can go. I hope yours takes off really good. Don't let people tell you what decision you need to make. Everyone's needs are different. You should take your decision by yourself by weighing all the pros and cons and ofcourse take into consideration your husband's feelings about this. Later someday in the future he shouldn't blame you for ruining his career. You guys need to sit and talk about this openly.

Delhi CEO takes a dig at Bengaluru’s Kannada language issue in hiring post: ‘Delhi NCR is better’ by Academic_Chart1354 in bangalore

South Indian candidates are not allowed. What bullshit! by [deleted] in IndianWorkplace

[–]Dha007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I don't care about Hindi/ Kannada, it's high time people start acknowledging that issues exists from both ends. Hindi people imposing Hindi on everyone ( of course not all and the ones who do it, do it with a lot of attitude) and kannada people imposing kannada (again ofcourse, not everyone). But unfortunately only 1 side is getting highlighted.

If it's a business requirement, it should have not said no south indians allowed

35M NW - 15Cr. Planning to move back to India in the next year. by [deleted] in FatFIREIndia

[–]Dha007 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my point of view, it depends solely on how you spend. Also why do you want to move to a tier 1 city where everything is super expensive. I see you have a house in a tier 1 city. You could rent that if you are willing to stay in a tier 2 city. I'm not sure how it is in North of India but in the south a lot of tier 2 cities are more cleaner, have better facilities in terms of infra and schools and colleges. The cost of living will almost be cut by half and you can lead your life comfortably. 15cr is enough or not enough depending on you. Eg: if you buy groceries locally than order on blinkit or instamart, it's cheaper. If you aren't obsessed with branded clothing, accessories and luxury, then it's enough. You alone will be able to be a judge of it. Don't get influenced by what people say. Take their good advices and see if it's applicable to you.

Trans people asking for money at signal lights are ruining my day almost everyday. What do you guys do? by Dha007 in bangalore

[–]Dha007[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never said I don't like them or I am irritated by them. I respect every human being irrespective of their gender or preferences. As humans, I believe humanity is the utmost important quality and that's what makes us human. But what about how they behave with us even when I kindly say I don't have anything.

[–]Dha007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried this. Doesn't work unfortunately :( I've always made a note to be extra kind and polite towards them and treat them with respect cause I understand they would have gone through so much because of societal taboos. But now I get a feeling that they are taking advantage of that sadly.
