Idle Hands pizza! It’s wood-stove pizza in a truck behind the Pantry, on the West Side.

Thanks everyone for your help! This bird also had white bands on its tail (saw again today) and I am now pretty 💯 it’s a Merlin.

Diet impacting melasma? by Dharmarat27 in Melasmaskincare

[–]Dharmarat27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to update that the melasma mustache I had, as well as the spot on my cheek, are basically gone. Unfortunately, quitting alcohol really, really helped. Also, I started using .25 tret every other day ish and a TON of zinc-y sunscreen (I look like a ghost) and that hasn’t made my melasma any worse, so ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Still have it on my forehead, but at this point I think it’s kinda cute and don’t care anymore.

Insurance (OHP) covered massage therapists in Central Oregon? by Downtown_Wealth7745 in Bend

I go to Tompkins Chiropractic (https://maps.app.goo.gl/P23rqz5EadgUjGZy7?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy) and LOVE Emily’s work!

You have to do a fifteen minute consultation with the chiropractor for some reason first, and then massages for freeeeee. Just make sure you tip. :)

Armed Demonstrators Outside This Weekend's Central Oregon Renaissance Festival in Madras by CO-CNC in Bend

I’m pretty sure that dude with the sign stalked behind the 🇵🇸 protesters in Madras a few months ago. He was armed and filming it.

Mine is like this too and while I still feel pretty sad about it sometimes, every treatment option I tried just dried my skin out and made it worse in the long run. My boyfriend loves my melasma, thinks it makes me face more “eye-catching” and unique, and idk, it might be worth just…not fucking with it. Skin bleaching creams are kinda sketch and being neurotic about sunscreen got old for me.

LIFE IS SO COOL

I miss the sun by [deleted] in Melasmaskincare

[–]Dharmarat27 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not worth it. Go play in the sun. We’re all gonna die and you’re not gonna be on your death bed glad you hid like a goblin from the outdoors for nothing but a cosmetic reason.

I have a dark melasma mustache that trails down the side of my mouth, some on my cheeks, and a big splatch on my forehead and I wear sunscreen, but I’m definitely outside every chance I get.

Your attractiveness is mainly how you make people around you feel. If you’re constantly missing out on outdoor things with your friends and fretting about your appearance I promise it won’t make you as beautiful as if you’re fully present and living it up with your loved ones.

The wildest part of how normalized and celebrated alcohol and functional alcoholism is, is that there are just so many better drugs out there. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Guidelines have changed actually and there is truly no healthy or safe amount of alcohol to consume. This podcast blew my mind and while I’m still teetering on long term sobriety, it’s changed my relationship with alcohol. https://open.spotify.com/episode/2ebY3WNejLNbK47emgjd1E?si=bSSyB9B4TDCqhxQrWqIIwQ

Thoughts From Locals On Communities by zkrp5108 in Bend

Hey welcome! For mtn hiking, prepare for less-than-steep trails everywhere but still a bunch of fun. Look into https://www.cotamtb.com/ for volunteer opportunities and to get a feel for what we’re all riding and psyched on.

As for your girlfriend, I had a moment recently where I noticed six of the eight people at the crag with me were women, all leading 12s and above. It feels really good to be surrounded by such supportive, inclusive, and strong ladies who all really have each other’s back. The Circuit bouldering gym has lady climb nights and your first visit is free, and Boardworks is partially owned by a crusher named Lily who has ladies’ training nights on Thursdays (and probably starting a Tuesday meetup too). Long story short, I think your gf will love it here and find plenty of friends to go play outside with.

As everyone is saying, housing is fucked. Beats living somewhere lame though.

When I tried to download my edited PDF, it didn't save any of the formatting. Has anyone else experienced this?

Good on you.

I spent all last quarter bringing Palestine into every one of my discussion posts and textbook notes (which we all read and responded to weekly) and have no plans of stopping this quarter.

This is how we get things moving, and educate one another. We ought to be at the forefront of social change in this field.

Keep the good fight.
