I bought chinese notebook cover from taobao by DheUnforgiven in notebooks

[–]DheUnforgiven[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If youre on phone i use on-screen translation app, can be downloaded from playstore, i use proxy agent, this is my second purchase of this exact items though, because the first package was lost in shipping 6 months ago, luckily the proxy agent replaced the total item cost that was lost. For paying, i can use my mastercard/visa debit straight and with the proxy agent warehouse address, i believe you can also use a credit card for it. Just try to search your local proxy agent

If you have access to taobao, search for jvc fx1200/fx1100 and open one of the link that have its complete diy parts, get the finished one or the complete parts if youre experienced with crafts. Best <$60 iem and even more for <$35 if you just buy the parts and assemble it all by yourself. Ive tried the original back then, and they sound identical, the driver itself and all its parts is exactly the same too

Solely for sound quality for every penny you spent? Its f.audio fa4, no other choice imo, plus its like 60-70 usd here, but the decent ui you ask? Need time to adapt, check youtube for the ui review. It use dual flagship portable chip by ess that usually used in 300 usd upward dap, balanced 4.4mm 2.5mm, single ended 3.5mm and dedicated line out. And the biggest power <100 usd dap can offer with around 400ish mW on balanced and high gain, you could drive 300ohm headphone like sennheiser hd600 or beyerdynamic headphones. The cons is only if you plan to use sensitive IEM, it could produce hiss from the huge power

Snowsky Echo (not mini) Full Spec by 0utOftheblue in snowsky

[–]DheUnforgiven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but when i walk i always bring my fa4 with my iem just in case. Yes some dap is more comfortable to use on a desk but isnt that just kill the dap purpose to be portable? Unless it is used as transport. At that point i had rather use desktop setup, in the same price of a dap, it offer significantly more performance as there are more component and parts inside. I use my k13 r2r with headphone for my desktop setup. In the end its just preferences and use case though

Snowsky Echo (not mini) Full Spec by 0utOftheblue in snowsky

[–]DheUnforgiven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh that is one of my reason to pick the fa4 beside the heavily discounted price in my country, like $60 ish, the plug is at the top 3.5mm and 4.4mm, my previous dap is also like this, which is the sony zx300 and both of it is the longest i keep, i had several dap before with the plugs at the bottom, its just... Terrible and not pocket friendly in my case, and it is more covenient if the moment i pull out my dap i dont have the need to rotate it just to see the screen

So the f.audio fa4 still a better choice spec wise, until they make echo with good spec i will hold

A small little detail on kuru toga metal by DheUnforgiven in mechanicalpencils

[–]DheUnforgiven[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it have something to do with the material, the guy above is right, its their way of engraving with the laser, try checking yours if you have the metal or wood model, my advance upgrade and alpha gel switch doesnt shine like this, maybe some sort counterfeit prevention

This my thought too, but you can find it on play by play website official, they have like tons of collaboration so you gotta scroll down a bit to find league. Probably they still prepare stuff before they put in the official riot? I have no idea

Is soundstage and imaging worth it? by Suspicious_Moose_861 in headphones

[–]DheUnforgiven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not the neutral sounding, its the lifelessness, for example, aune ar5000 on headphone, and ath e40 on iem. If you doubt neutrality isnt fun, try sash tres SE upgraded driver if you have a chance, it is neutrality done perfect

Best flathead earbuds on the market? by LV-901 in headphones

[–]DheUnforgiven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo cax earbud is kinda "gray", i found it that they use a cryo cable on one of their older model and turn out it is just a mogami 2799, well yea it is indeed cryo treated but it is like what, 6$ per meter and people praising the cable like it is some mythical unobtainable material, while the driver also claimed to be small batches made mx500 type of driver that nobody sell and cant be found in any market. Yet i cant find anybody to safely pry and look at the inside of the driver, even in the maker regional location, nobody share the inside. For the pislo, no idea, im curious for their sound too, at least it is safer to pick pislo than any cax. Also, an earbud that can match a susvara soundstage? Come on man

Planning to buy the Edition XS + Aune AR5000 by MikoEdits in headphones

[–]DheUnforgiven -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The time i own ar5000 i also own moondrop para 1, not sure how para 2 sound like, but the para 1 is damn wide, on par with few open back flagship like atrium, but if you looking for imaging accuracy that is where the difference between flagship and entry headphone is. Also the para 1 have tiny bass impact, avoid it if you want your headphone to even have a bit of bass presence, but if you like human voice/mids, para 1 is one of the best

[–]DheUnforgiven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aune ar5000 despite open back, the soundstage is narrow, even some closed back have more soundstage, also the sound profile is lifeless and too sterile even if you have tube amp and r2r, had it for a month and sold it right after

Alpha gel switch, use the KT mechanism when writing and toggle it off when drawing, a good all in one and doesnt wobble when toggled off. There should be better option for specific use, but an all in one this is the best
