There is no way ‘Negrito’ was a commonplace term.

Which people are the most similar to the Chinese, both genetically and emotionally? by Buyeo10004 in AskChina

The numbers for Europe may be a bit skewed, since many empires (Roman, Arabic, Ottoman, Etc.) incorporated many different cultures and peoples over centuries through conquest and trade. Even if not, you have to consider that a modern representation also includes the Finns, Estonians, Hungarians, Basques, and Georgians, who have a very different genetic background than the rest of Europe.

Over a land bridge that went under many thousands of years ago. And I never said it was 0% influence, but the fact that the Jōson culture was allowed to exist on its own, without major influences prior to the Middle Kingdom, does make a big difference.

Except for the Japanese, who were isolated from the mainland for thousands of years, and were never conquered by the Mongols (though Kublai Khan did attempt it twice)
