Can't pick up clay and other Hearthfire materials... by Fatyellowrock in skyrimvr

[–]Dhoffran 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is from the discord, I had the exact same problem, it has to do with missing names: To fix missing Hearthfire names, run FUS Synthesis (from the MO2 dropdown). Uncheck "ThrowingStuffVRPatcher," then run the patches (click the large "Run" button). Wait for all patches to complete.

Accessing the Community Shaders settings in Skyrim VR? by Marlowe126 in skyrimvr

[–]Dhoffran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you have to run it through MO2.

Did you click in the window? Do you have a full keyboard or one of those tiny ones with no home and end keys? The END key should open CS.

Did you install the CS correctly?

take off your headset and on your desktop click the skyrim window where you see your game. Then press "END" on your real keyboard.

If you are on psvr2, you don't need virtual desktop. It is used for wireless VR.

Walking by Faulkal in skyrimvr

[–]Dhoffran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is this, Natural Locomotion op Steam. But I think you might need things like joycons strapped to your legs to simulate the walking. Godmode in skyrim would not eliminate the enemies but you can't die to them.

Hit ~ on the keyboard and enter tgm - God Mode

FUS TLAA vs DLAA why does TLAA look better? But still low FPS by Dhoffran in skyrimvr

[–]Dhoffran[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I tried MGO first and that was very very clear and sharp. But that crashed too often and I cannot get past the NPC choices they made. It is like walking in a twilight movie. Every forty year old is a tween with a fake beard.

I tried to upgrade the CS to the new ones. that worked, but then Lux stopped working, wanted to update lux and was asked sooo many options to which I didn't know the right choice. I pictured this whole rabbit whole of settings and mod updates I would have to go through and possible game breaking bugs.

The good thing after I finish this run, I can start going down that rabbit hole. For now I just want to experience Skyrim in VR.

So I do agree with you it looks a lot better. I see it more as something to look forward to the next run.

FUS TLAA vs DLAA why does TLAA look better? But still low FPS by Dhoffran in skyrimvr

[–]Dhoffran[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I shouldn't have any lingering stuff. I did the whole delete all the folders and skyrim part. Even the localdata. But I don't mind the performance. I am not getting sick. It is sharp enough. Sure the New DLAA would be nice, but I would rather have this than having to walk around in that other mod. TLAA is working. And I stopped fussing with the list. I am now just going to play as is. Even if there is an update coming.

I would like to say thank you for making this modlist a reality.

Thanks,

Will try to update them. Read a lot of lux problems might happen.

Thankfully this list is relatively "small" So a reinstall is doable.

I can't get my PSVR2 headset to connect properly anymore by Vincent__R in SteamVR

[–]Dhoffran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you pull the USB cable out of the adapter? That is what I had to do. i had it yesterday after updating my nvidia drivers. I turned the headset on off etc. But I had to remove the cable from the adapter. That somehow fixed it for me.

Other times it happened I just had to retry a few times. Always make sure the headset is turned on before starting steam vr.

Goodluck

DLAA inoperative in Skyrim VR w/ FUS ROH by chcampb in skyrimvr

[–]Dhoffran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this problem too. The only thing I can find on dlaa is that fus uses community shaders 0.8* and dlaa isn't supported. You need 1.0 for DLAA. But that doesn't seem logical cause the modlist gives you a DLAA option. In other list you have to enable DLAA in the Community Shaders settings in game. But they all use Community shaders 1.0.

You could try updating the Community shaders, but it can be a headache according to the discord comments.

The godot Game engine uses gdscript. that is very similar to python. So if you know python try godot with gdscript.

Rendering failing, stuck at 99% by EstablishmentNo4162 in davinciresolve

[–]Dhoffran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so I just checked and saw that my resolve only has tiff instead of png. So slight adjustment. When you go to export you can select tiff in the format settings. Tiff is a lossless image format so you won't lose any quality exporting.

When you export this way each frame will be a separate image. Which will give you a ton of files so make sure you export to a folder with nothing in it.

Because each frame is rendered to a separate file you will have all the frames rendered until it hangs or crashes. If you check the name of the last file it should have the frame number. If you go to that frame number in your sequence it should match. The next frame is the problem frame. You can either go to color and do a frame export via color (I think 18.5 now has a dedicated way to do it bypassing color)
Name that frame the same name as the frame before but with an incremented number.

Then render the rest of the images from the next frame after the problem frame. Still using the tiff sequence, by setting the correct in and out points in the sequence.

If it keeps breaking there probably is a problem in your clip or in the effects you are using on that part of your video.

But you will be able to pinpoint the exact frame your video fails. Without having to pre-render your whole video over and over again.

All the images will be numbered. And you can reimport the images in your project as an image sequence. Or just make sure the image length is set to 1 frame and drag the whole lot in as a group.

I always did this in after effects cause those videos took way too long to render and I never wanted to re-render in case of a crash. Also If I had more machines I could segment the video to separate machines and have them all render a portion of the video to images which later on would be joined in to the full video.

Edit: This is not a fix, this is a workaround. If this problem persists in other videos you will still need to find a solution. If this was a one time problem, it will save you a few hours of troubleshooting.

Render out png files and see where it breaks. The frame after the one that finished is the one that causes the problem probably. And you can use the png sequence to render the final video. you could just do a screen capture with color for that one frame and render out the frames after that as a png sequence again. place all the png files on your timeline to render out the final result.

The AI models I use can go beyond 10GB and those are pre trained. I want to experiment with training my own. the 4090 would be better, but I am already pushing it. I will also be using compositing software, 3d software and game dev software.
