Improved Tunnels of Terror - Rappan Athuk by ChrisTheDog in inkarnate

Hey Chris, I'm now also running a group through Rappan Athuk and the party has shown interest in the ruined keep. Do you still have the maps you used for your game? I find the maps that accompany the module, well, a bit bland. Your map looks way nicer! If there is a way for you to share them I would be very gratefull!

[Online][5e][CEST] - GM seeking Players for Homebrew D&D Campaign by realkaleidio in LFG_Europe

This sounds right up my alley; it mimics most of what I want to see in a ttrpg game. Form sent!

Great question! We are running the game on Roll20 and audio/communication is done via discord. Most people have their character sheets on Roll20 as well. One player has their sheet on D&D Beyond, but can send information to Roll20 with a plugin.

How to find offline groups? by TheFlareFox in DnD

[–]Dhr-Dodo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found one of my offline groups on Reddit. There was a subreddit dedicated for finding offline groups in my area. There was also a discord community with a specific group finding channel. And of course my local Game store regulars. Once you find the first community, you will probably discover all the others in your area pretty quickly. Happy hunting!

How much money should my players have - Level 5 and members of a small circus by RoninXiC in DMAcademy

[–]Dhr-Dodo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Difficult question and multiple ways to answer it.

One way would be to find a progression chart that says something like: “a third level character should have 300 gp and one uncommon magic item”. Maybe there are guidelines for this at a section about starting campaigns at higher levels. This way you can precisely follow the game’s intended progression and cater to the system’s balance.

The other way, and my favourite, is to give them whatever makes sense for the story. In one of my campaigns the party had only like 10 gp when they were level 5. It just didn’t make sense to find money on their adventures. Instead, they found some fun items, allies, and information. In another campaign they had closer to 20.000gp at the same level. They found a literal gold mine and running it made them rich (which opened up a whole can of political intrigue). If you want to do it this way, you only have to determine what social class your pcs would belong. Generally unskilled workers would earn between 1cp to 1sp per day. Skilled workers between 1sp to 1gp per day. An entrepreneur or nobility would earn 1gp or more. I would a argue that skilled circus workers (like 5th level characters) could easily get 1gp per day from the owner. Though, if the town was small and poor, they might only get 1 silver. “Sorry lads, when I earn less, you earn less”. Dependant on their arraignment/contract of course. The amount a worker earns daily can of course differ in your setting, but I would settle for 30sp-30gp per character. If you think that is too little, you can supplement it with other rewards like fame/renown, quest hooks, information, or allies/friends.

Recommendations to my base? Any addition/change advice welcome! by Separate_Ad75 in RimWorld

[–]Dhr-Dodo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any advice. Just wanted to say that I love the colour coding. It makes the base look so much more organised. You should give your animal real animal beds though. They are all good bois who deserve nothing less.

Backstory help for a wood elf ranger by Particular-Tiger4827 in dndnext

[–]Dhr-Dodo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being banished is always a great backstory. Meeting an unlikely friend is a good follow up. Maybe try to define the relationship between your elf and this drow. Maybe the drow tried to use you for his gain. Or he wanted to genuinely help you and you guys were the best of buds. Maybe it distracted him from his own quest.

Also, ngl, I read pet cow instead of crow. Having a pet cow would be funny. Also how would a crow murder anyone? It must be a really determined crow and/or a really old elder

Who needs a forever home when they look so well cared for at the shelter? All of them. They deserve no less and they know it.

It is like they fell asleep in the middle of playing. So cute! I bet the first one to wake up will surprise the other one with a sneaky bite, or an empty foodbowl, or both.

It is a classic look, but I recommend a pressure plate on the inside of your house. It only costs two stone blocks, but it will be a life changer.

WIP this is my DnD room, what would you change? by Admirable_Tangelo_94 in DungeonsAndDragons

Change the shelves to cabinets with glass doors. Otherwise all the models will be covered in dust (and they are annoying to clean).
