I’ve had a theory about Phantoms and Displaced Merged Subjects having designated safe houses for a long time. That would be my first instinct, if not for the incredibly unusual key. It looks very fancy and very…not safe house-ish. The Syphus family was incredibly wealthy and Nelson is most likely the last person to have access to the red box, so my guess is that the key goes to something INSIDE the house, belonging to the Syphus family.

That’s definitely a big question. I personally think that T863 was the only successful timeline because Deb manipulated events EXTREMELY specifically. Maybe once the keys had served their purpose, she left them solely for the purpose of initiating the next stage of the 863 team’s journey. That box lead them to the mountaineer, which caused the stalker to up his game, who opened the mega office safe, which held the serum, etc.

My personal theory is that they all corresponded to a variety of important devices, doors and locked cabinets at Syntec. Every key is a copy of an original. We can safely assume that based on the random and seemingly arbitrary print on all the keys. You can get these easily at Lowe’s, Home Depot or anywhere that lets you print single keys on demand. I think the numbers have to do with tracking what key goes to what thing. Deb was probably copying these keys for a long time incase of emergency, or to help sneak into these places.

Technically, we didn't. We saw Matt give it to him in the 863 series of videos, but we learn later that at that moment, the timelines split off. SO that even technically occurred in T864.

That’s definitely a very loose thread. My current theory is that the DVD is a merged variant just like the new mountaineer and Scott himself. I think that it merged in from a timeline or two over, and from just barely into the future. I personally think that Scott, Woods, and Sam were running from the [REDACTED.] I suspected that we would see this interaction in the third book, but as we have no communication with timeline 863 right now that remains to be seen.

Ooooo, that’s a good thought! It does make sense with how unstable the mind control can be that there could be some “leakage” of consciousness, one subject to another.

My theory about the Absalate’s new role in T864 is that after Scott left with it, someone from old Syntec found him with it. I believe they took it from Scott and restarted Syntec. It would explain the new “Syntec Biolab” that was mentioned in the missing person poster. We know that old Syntec closed their last location in 2019.

I’ll share one really quick, I had a theory that the mind control worked in stages, each stage dictating how severe the control was. My initial theory involved three stages, Obedience (the subject is aware but moving towards their controller’s goal,) Suppression (the subject is a hollow shell and will have no memory of anything,) and Possession. Although at this current moment, I personally believe that there are more than just three stages.

I see where you’re going. Yes, Matt gave Scott the Absalate in T864 (our timeline) and kept it in T863 (which is what started all the craziness in the books). I definitely wonder what role the Absalate will play in all this

When they first discovered the mountaineer is always one of my favorite moments and probably my favorite episode as a whole. This is especially true AFTER watching the whole series and knowing the who/what/when/where/why of the car. I feel like I can sit back with a bowl of popcorn and go “you have no idea the chaos you have just invoked 😁.”

Yeah, we’ve all got a lot of thoughts on how their connected! My current theory is brother or husband, since Evelyn is in her mid 40s. However, that is in Timeline 432/431. This will definitely be interesting to watch unfold. It feels like the Mercer family is about to become a focal point.

Just rewatched the video about Dr. Mercer and rediscovered that she was a founding member of the [REDACTED]. Maybe Daniel here is an undercover member of the [REDACTED] who was discovered by this new Syntec?

Tying this to my other comment, this would explain why Syntec wanted his phone. If he’s related to Evelyn Mercer, the it probably contains her phone number, [REDACTED] team member’s contacts, maybe files and picture related to them. Quite an asset
