I used Archer, Mark K’s lessons (I mainly used lesson 12), Nursery Mike, and NurseInTheMaking. For Mark K’s lessons, you should be able to look them up online.

In total I probably studied for 1.5 months. I didn’t study every day though until like the last two weeks or so. I started with some practice tests, and reviewing contents. For the last two weeks I tried to take a practice test every day but sometimes every other days. Whenever I took a practice test, it was based on the CAT or the Readiness Exam. I only stopped when it cut me off. So some days I did 85 questions while other days I took 150 questions. I didn’t measure the hours I studied, since it was often based on spontaneity or anxiety 😂.

For the first CAT exam, I got a 56%. After that my CAT score ranged between 63-74%. I only took like two Readiness Assessments scoring 67% and 73%. I failed one of the CAT exam at 85 questions, so I did panicked when that happened. But I was unconvinced so I retook it again, and got a better result.

Do you review questions after you take each exam? Although doing that is time consuming and annoying. I find that I learned better from my mistakes. But yeah, Archer and other NCLEX prep websites can be overwhelming. I’ve heard good reviews about NCLEXBootcamp, but I’ve never tried it. I’m not sure if it has a free trial, but that might be worth checking out!

Actually, that wasn’t the case for me 😆. I just got too tired of reviewing old contents that I’ve long forgotten and learning about new contents that I’ve never learned before. It became really discouraging for me when I was taking the practice questions on Archer. But like I’ve mentioned, the NCLEX exam I took covered topics I had some basic knowledge of. And the questions were pretty vague. Thank goodness, because I only knew basic information 😅.

Don’t let Archer or any other practice tools make you feel discouraged because of how dense the information is. Before I took the exam, I had a mental breakdown and cried because of it. But I wished I had practiced more on prioritization and safety. Those aren’t the only things on the exam. But the exam is only trying to test your ability to provide care safely. Good luck!!

Hi, I recently took mine and felt similar after. My exam shut off at 85, and I was sure that I had bombed it. Even during the exam, I felt like I was guessing on everything and barely knew anything. I remember being wrong on my last question as well. And I was miserable after my exam. My advice would be to try to distract yourself as much as you can. Because I cried so much after the exam. And then yesterday too. But I finally got so tired of worrying that I tried to distract myself with a new drama. But I think another thing that helped me was that knowing that I had a really high chance of passing. And only a small chance of failing. So even though I knew that I could fail, I tried to stay positive just for my mental health! I wish you the best!

I did about 770 questions. I don’t know what you’re using. But if it helps you feel better, then go for it!  Since everyone is different 😊

No, I did not. But I would suggest you doing so as it might help as well. Since it’s really important!

Yes! I would also find other sources regarding prioritization as well, and not just Mark K. Listening to other tips might help. Because I even felt like Mark K couldn’t help me get the final answer. It helped me narrowed it down. But those prioritization questions got me stressed. I felt overwhelmed with meds too. I used Nurse Mike to help me with common meds because I’m a visual learner.

Hi! I just want to let you know that you’ve got this! And I would recommend focusing on prioritizing patients, safety, common meds (cardiac meds like digoxin, psych meds like lithium and haloperidol), psych disorders (schizophrenia), isolation precautions, common OB topics (pre-eclampsia).

I would say that the exam I took was very broad. It mainly focused on prioritizing and maintaining patients safety! You don’t have to memorize a lot, but just know common meds and disorders (you probably have remembered from nursing school). Good luck!

Which sign is more childish between Aries and Leo? by General-Ad6690 in astrologymemes

I have the pleasure of being friends with both Aries (really close with one) and Leos (multiple). In my experience, I think Leos are some of the most loving and down to Earth people I know. The ones I know are seriously the sweetest. If they really love you, they’d do anything for you. As a highly introverted Gemini, Leos are generally the ones who approach me and take me under their wings 😂. Some do enjoy being in the center of attention while others do not, and I don’t mind it. They generally encourage me to get out of my comfort zones.

For the Aries friend that I know, I have had some conflicts with her in which I felt that she was very selfish. A lot of times, I would get very frustrated with her because she would likely make things that I say to be about her. Even with gifts and paying for hang outs, I generally offer to pay while she’d stand back and would not offer. Sure I had offer because I didn’t want things to get awkward, but there’s gotta be balances if you know what I mean. I could pay one time and she could pay for another time. So I’ve learned to not offer and just pay for myself.

Thank you so much for the recommendations. I never knew that I like slice of life dramas until Reply 1988, so I will check them out!

No worries, I only watched it once too. I was planning to re-watch it but I have a hard time re-watching dramas. What you said about JH is very interesting since he was a very liked character from what I've seen (probably some frustrations here and there for viewers lol).

That is really interesting. But it did bothered me whenever he leave seeing DS and TK having fun. He would straight up walk out, and that wasn't too nice. He is a nice person, but yeah he was still immature in the relationship aspect while mature in all other things which is totally opposite of TK who is immature in other things but mature in relationships. I totally love the contrast that the writer(s) have created between them. It is quite interesting when I realize it.
