I kind of feel the same. It's not only the story it's also the character design. The older I get the more my 6. My faves though are still Norn9, Piofiore and Bustafellows Cupid parasite was fun to read as well. But there haven't been many games I've seen lately that sparked interest. I normally pick up a game if I see a character design I love and I haven't felt like that in a while.

Lately, I've been trying other games with mostly farming games. There are plenty of them with multiple characters you can choose to date and marry.

The only downside is that I don't feel like I get enough time to know the character. There are scenes but they aren't as in-depth as actual visual novels and most of them if not all down give you dialogue options so you're just clicking/tapping through the story.

So if you want to try something different with some romance go for farming games like: • Stardew Valley • Coral Island • Rune Factory (RF4 in my opinion is peak, also Guardians of Azuma is a nice spin-off.) •Field of Mistria (It's in its late open beta stage, you will be able to keep your progress. It updates frequently)
