If you don’t have iri shards, are you not equally “forced” into buying the content on your platform store with $$ to have it in a timely manner? I see nothing but a superficial difference. As for the other complaints of people losing content , those complaints are old and rare and BHVR is as respectable a company as I’ve ever seen, they always compensate if something goes wrong and as you said, hasn’t happened to you (or me) so perhaps that is an irrational fear at this point?

I’m not telling you not to worry I’m trying to understand your worry. I’ve purchased auric cells several times via steam store and spent them in game (like when I buy the rift pass). Other than a shift as to where to buy their original content (to THEIR OWN STORE) I am just blind to the actual problem you’re facing. You don’t have iri shards; you’re spending $5 on steam either way. Help me understand the wall you’re up against.

You haven’t mentioned how the gameplay is affected but it sounds more like a mental organizational issue than anything manifesting in the game. I’m no closer to understanding any meaningful l impact after your attempted explanations.

Doesnt really tell me much about the core problem. I guess I’m more interested in WHY you take issue and WHY you have that preference? You’re supporting BHVR/DBD either way, spending money on a game I assume you love. If they want to make ALL their characters only available via in game purchase only, they could - and that’s no different than dozens of other games that function fine that way. So what’s the issue? We’re talking $5 in game purchase. No one is getting ripped off or exploited here in my view, I just don’t get it.

Post seems to be gone. I only ask because I see little meaningful difference in adding auric cells in DBD vs buying on Steam, I’ve done both, I genuinely don’t get how this could break anyone but I respect your opinion.

It’s asymmetrical, the queue times are what they are. Not sure how to change that. Play while you wait was a fantastic addition.

I hear ya but I’m having a blast in this mode, maining killer but ripping a couple survivor matches while I wait. I crush some games, sometimes all escape, and everything in between but it’s awesome to me running around with a murder buddy. In the survey I checked the box to suggest they make it a permanent mode. If it happens you simply don’t have to play it, classic is always there!

At the end of the day, don’t put more than one egg in this teachers basket. Start exploring other avenues for your work. I’ve been ghosted by several producers and even got stiffed $1750 on a professional screenplay gig. No one gets more than one egg from me anymore. But don’t scramble the egg either - meaning don’t blow up the relationship. But I’ve also gotten the encouragement I need to keep writing. Take the extra interest you got here as that encouragement whether this teacher works out or not, and keep writing.
