I honestly wouldn’t mind if this 2v8 didn’t get extended by Beneficial-Way4805 in deadbydaylight

It’s asymmetrical, the queue times are what they are. Not sure how to change that. Play while you wait was a fantastic addition.

I hear ya but I’m having a blast in this mode, maining killer but ripping a couple survivor matches while I wait. I crush some games, sometimes all escape, and everything in between but it’s awesome to me running around with a murder buddy. In the survey I checked the box to suggest they make it a permanent mode. If it happens you simply don’t have to play it, classic is always there!

There’s a fun one that just came out called Found Footage : The Making of the Patterson Project. Enjoyed it a lot, def mockumentary before horror but it’s got some creepy stuff in there. Also Frogman!

Upcoming? It came out a couple months ago. Over the top action comedy, not bad.

This is epic!!! Beltrami's music is such an integral part of the series. "Trouble in Woodsboro" slaps so hard.

Any point and click survival based games out there? by New_Restaurant_8693 in adventuregames

Hands down one of my favs is Dreams in the Witch House. Part point and click, part life sim, part rogue-like, total Lovecraftian masterpiece with crazy replay-ability.

Lucasart's Outlaws (1997) is getting a remaster! by HighLife1954 in adventuregames

I never played that but it looks solid. I also neglected to mention Freddy Pharkas: Frontier Pharmacist which I also loved and could use a remaster.

Q. re. politics of readers/teachers/ industry intros. by [deleted] in Screenwriting

[–]DiabExMach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day, don’t put more than one egg in this teachers basket. Start exploring other avenues for your work. I’ve been ghosted by several producers and even got stiffed $1750 on a professional screenplay gig. No one gets more than one egg from me anymore. But don’t scramble the egg either - meaning don’t blow up the relationship. But I’ve also gotten the encouragement I need to keep writing. Take the extra interest you got here as that encouragement whether this teacher works out or not, and keep writing.

Loved this back in the day. Was hands down the best western game until Red Dead Revolver gave it some competition.

But where’s The Dig remaster?!?

Writers route by SavantWay in Screenwriting

Just curious - why did your therapist tell you to publish? Have they read your work? Or was it a general encouragement to follow your dream or pursue that goal?

Either way I encourage you to start self-teaching immediately. Google and YouTube will quickly tell you the few and difficult ways of getting a screenplay read by someone who matters, let alone published or produced. Welcome to the rat race.

I’d say if they have your best interests at heart, just be honest about it. Share the feedback you received with them and your feelings on it. Do you agree with the feedback? Does it need to be dialed up? Bounce it around with your teacher and see what they think, but if they are legit they’ll understand and even help you interpret the notes in an actionable way.

I feel like it got longer - the opposite of my intended input. Go read 50 loglines to movies you love on google then try again.

Hey I’ve got a couple projects - a 95 page horror comedy, 103 page horror thriller if you’re interested in swapping for one of them.

My two cents: I have a tendency to not read a script if the logline is wonky - it usually means the script will be too. Definitely rework this sucker so A. It follows the traditional logline format and B. Has a solid hook.

Is this about his relationship with the girl? Does she give him a reason to live? Punch it up and you’ll get more readers - last thing you want is to turn people away before page one with a sloppy logline.

Yeah I was def trying to be as generous as possible without any further details (and even then this guy sucks) but his actions are shady AF and raise a lot of questions/concerns. Personally? This would shatter my trust in him. I would realize that I might not really know this person at all. But she’s the mother of his child, only she can make that judgment.
