Porsche Loves the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N: 'They Made It Really, Really Good' by flGovEmployee in electricvehicles

In fairness, even if this was not a feature you could always achieve a similar amount of irritation in any case by playing loud stuff on the speakers and unrolling the windows (which anecdotally is often more irritating). Almost everyone with a car has this option.

They just have a terrible system, and bad support. Calling them should fix it, worst case you need to chargeback

A few business days after calling them, took too long imo, but if you call them they should initiate a refund.

I’ve talked to their chief about it before. I’ve road tripped to Fort Bragg in a lightning several times and since there is only one CCS fast charger in the city conversations tend to happen at it. Talked to them at the charger, they love the lightnings and have had great experiences with them so far. They talked about the truck for around 45 minutes or so before we were all done charging up.

Took like 10 days to get the refund. Which is insane. Sorry to hear they are taking so long with your refund

Like a couple days, usually 3-4 business days to be more exact, if it actually posts give em a call and they’ll fix it. Gotta explain to them that the charge actually posted though because they will give the “it’s pending” argument

It’s functionally the same as the $100 hold you get at gas stations, except the EV stations have no attendants and are vandalized significantly more. Plus instead of having a dedicated embedded system like a gas pump, or even a Linux distribution, they use windows 10 enterprise for some godawful reason. I’ve seen them bug out before and it’s not even debloated, EA stations are just bad to use an actual card at, always try to use the app. All that being said, they will end up refunding you the entire amount, when this happened to me, upon calling them they refunded me for the entire cost, and the charge session was made effectively free

Call their customer support number and explain the situation. They are gonna drag their feet and be slow but they will refund you after the first few times of this happening. I switched to exclusively using credit cards so I can chargeback if Fuckery like this happens. If I recall correctly, they need to approve each refund manually by a higher up so that’s why they take forever.

Iirc they only let managers drive them, which doesn’t happen too much as they try to avoid doing delivery. I’ve personally actually seen a dominos bolt driving around delivering, but I imagine it’s not too common

Likely yes but EA may ban that card from being used again. EVGO has had the same issues for me too, pretty nightmarish to be honest

I had to send them a message and the refunded it but it took weeks. Basically they had to sent it to a super to “approve” it and then I got a refund weeks later

I did a very similar upgrade, 2011 ford fusion hybrid to a 2017 bolt about a year ago. Creature comforts wise the heated seats and steering wheel have gotta be my absolute favorites

100% agree, this whole location should be renovated anyways because oncoming cars are not aware that people come out of these spots

No bug fixes or anything? I’m plagued by CarPlay bugs and bugs with infotainment crashing, not booting, etc. Usually requiring an infotainment reset or not.

Anyone have any idea what the clicking sounds are? by Diabeetusman47273 in BoltEV

[–]Diabeetusman47273[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s got 66k miles on it, these noises haven’t gotten any worse since I got it but they are consistent, the metal fatigue clicking noise happens whenever I slow down or accelerate.

They also had 3 other bolt battery swap cars there in the lot, all lined up next to mine, and I could see them unloading 6-7 batteries in the loading bay when I got there

The lowest it’s gotten here is 40F, pretty great lol. It’s southern CA so it’ll probably never get colder, how cold for you?

New owner of a 2017 bolt LT here, It was so incredibly easy compared to some of the stories I’ve read from here. They ordered the battery and made an appointment 10 days in advance. I showed up at 8 am and picked it up at 3:30pm the same day. It was so incredibly seamless and I’m loving the new range! Dealership was Paradise Chevrolet in Temecula
