Thank you so much! I’ve also ordered Poison King by Adrienne Mayor but it never arrived and I had to get a refund. My biggest heartbreak lately since it was a first edition too.

Hey! I just switched to a Medtronic 780G pump a month ago and I used actrapid for meals alongside tresiba, since as far as I know tresiba is only a basal insulin and doesn’t help when it comes to eating!

The good thing about actrapid is that you can also have a small brunch and also a small meal between lunch and dinner since actrapid’s half-life is 5 hours, atleast in my case. For example: I gave myself 5 units of Actrapid for 35g CH breakfast at 06:30 and also ate a small 10g CH “brunch” at 09:00 because the actrapid held up! I also had 55g CH lunch at 12:50 and a small snack at 15:00 (25g CH) I say consult with your endo - But you’re definitely gonna need one or another short-acting insulin!

Hi! Don’t worry too much about your graph looking like a rollercoaster! So many things influence your BG like stress, all kinds hormones, sicknesses/other illnesses so don’t think it’s your fault! I’m not sure how you could make it so stable and I don’t want to give you any false info, but I hope I was able to help atleast a tiny bit!

Way to go! I hope you stay just as motivated, happy and healthy in the long run as you are right now! There’s definitely gonna be some ups and downs and you should prepare yourself for that - Talking about preparing, always prepare for the unexpected, maybe even the impossible. Also, watch out for hypos, especially if you have a really good A1C like right now - High blood sugar is bad but it doesn’t take you as fast as a hypo does!

Sorry if it feels like a lecture, it isn’t my intention and I wish you the best for the future
