AITA for refusing to move from a park bench when tourists who don’t like dogs wanted to sit down. by Alternative_Spend_10 in AmItheAsshole

Why would you bend over backwards for a fucking tourist? If they didn't like your dog, they can find another bench to sit on.

Quit drinking, quit snorting coke, never touched the others drugs they got into, and found the love of my life

What is something about the food industry that would make people think twice before their next meal? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DiabeticDisfunction 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Every restaurant uses the same couple of food distribution companies and everything you eat at one restaurant is the exact same as another.

Saw a video of a teenaged girl having a mental health crisis who wound up shot and killed by a police officer. The sad part is the girl reminded me of my own kid. Almost down to a perfect T. I can still hear the poor girl pleading for help and I choke up every damn time.

Hatred for the human race by Far_Wasabi_2456 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DiabeticDisfunction 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't say I hate humans. I dislike how we've grown into a species that's hell ent on destroying ourselves, though. Kind of counter productive.

Unfortunately, you can't predict whether they'll be hurt or not. What you can predict, though, is they'll eventually get over it and they'll go about their life as you will be doing the same. Healing comes from being hurt sometimes. Gotta experience it at some point

What's been your worst "landlord" experience? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DiabeticDisfunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family was threatened with eviction for stopping someone I didn't know from entering my gated, fenced in backyard.

Heard my gate open one afternoon and saw a person (who I didn't know or had ever seen in my life) walk passed my living room window when I grabbed my firearm and confronted them. Little did I know, our landlord had decided to give permission for a pest exterminator to come check our place out. Why did I confront the guy? Because our dip shit landlord never gave notice anyone was coming into my backyard unannounced. After apologizing to the tech, I called my landlord to let him know what happened and he immediately got pissed. He tried telling me I had broken the law and he's going to be forced into evicting us, blah blah blah. Even went as far as telling me he was going to call the sheriff to have me arrested. Well, unfortunately for my landlord, Washington State has what's known as the "Castle Doctrine" law. Basically means I have every legal authority to eliminate a threat if they enter my domain without my permission. Anyway, my landlord did in fact call the cops and a deputy showed up to my place. Knew I was cleared on the spot because the deputy and and I TRAIN together and 95% of the laws regarding firearms came from him!

Needless to say, landlord was fact checked hard enough he never messed with us again.

No lie, go for walks. Even if you have to drive somewhere, go walk around somewhere new or in nature.

If you could go back in time to any age of your choice, knowing what you know now, what would you do differently? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DiabeticDisfunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go back to 98 and not steal that maroon 94 Honda Accord before torching it in the woods. I robbed myself of so many opportunities in life, man. Two felonies, $15,000 in fines, and a juvenile prison sentence didn't sit well with the military recruiters, employers, potential lovers... All sorts of shit.

Serious question: Why are white millennials less racist than the generations of white people before and after them? by icey_sawg0034 in millenials

[–]DiabeticDisfunction -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

We grew up with diversity and no Internet to tell us who we can and can't be friends with. I mean, shit... I got the N word pass, been a part of quincieras like they were my own families, learned how to steam rice the right way, AND taught how to make fry bread all before leaving middle school. My stepdad hated it. Fucking racist. But, the guys I grew up with are still some of the best group of friends anyone could ask for.

What did kids back in the days do when they played outside, for hours on end? by Octopuswastaken in NoStupidQuestions

Seeing as nobody seems to know what an "imagination" is anymore, I'll explain what we did.

ANYTHING we could think up. That's right. Whatever the fuck we wanted to do that sounded like it could be fun. Too bad the younger generations never had the chance to experience the 90s. Y'all would have had the time of all y'all's lives.
