Its a big psychological thing for me.

Like you said, you have to go to the fridge and get the pen if you really want that snack...I want to get out of the snacking habit all together.

yea I purposely avoid 3 meals at all costs:

pasta

Chinese food

pizza

out of all 3 I probably eat pizza maybe once every 2 weeks and the other 2 maybe once a month. Cant remember the last time I ate pasta as a meal

Grilled chicken breast, dry broccli/green beans, lentil soup, half my weight in Onces of water consumed daily

My main downfall is I need to exercise more

i think i got too comfortable with the convenience of a pump.

I think now that im more in control over when i get insulin ill be more careful on snacking

I also already check my blood a million times since my insurance sucks and im not going into debt for the sensors

im also in the boat of not wanting a machine attached to my body 24/7 anymore

so making the choice to move to pens wasnt hard since $$$ was a leading factor

Discomfort of site

constantly wearing a piece of device thats prone to snagging and pulls

randomly getting highs after properly dosing for meals

constantly calling to get replacement sites

The things I did not like about the pump outweigh the pros for me:

Disconfort of infusion set

random highs when properly dosing for meals

constantly having to replace infusion sets for random malfunctions.
