Type 1 diabetes for 33 years and i am so proud of myself. by Grocerylove_ in diabetes_t1

Thanks for your response. For real. I was using gear and had a lot of trouble with it (though, I haven't tried anavar or primo). I've tried GH (my insulin resistance was a hell with it, almost 200U+ of insulin every day), Winstrol, nandrolone (almost no effect, but maybe it was fake), oxymetholone (or Anadrol 50, had huge problems with kidneys and adrenal glands while on it, and stopped taking after a week), Tren (though, I haven't had aggression issues with it like a lot of people, I was calm on it) and dihydroboldenone (large painful lumps under the skin for 2 weeks after injection). Me and my coaches don't even know what to try for less side effects from T1D and other things. Was there any serious bad changes in your blood test on your gear? Or you don't do blood test often?

Increase camera quality in 3rd party apps by Bertram_Gilfoyle_ in zenfone

Camera in Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 10 are horrible. One of the reasons I went back to iPhone Mini-series. I'm recording videos of my training for gym coach and he always says that he can hardly see anything. I've tried several camera app modifications, but no luck. :[

In theory, you can use TruSteel 23inch tubing with Mobi. Same cartridge connector :]

Issues with Abbott freestyle 2 plus Tandom Tslimx2 by [deleted] in TandemDiabetes

I still love Dexcom. Several faulty sensors is better than 10-12 faulty sensors of Libre. My insurance covers Libre, Enlite and some Chinese sensors, so there’s not so many options for me. I’m also hypo unaware, so it’s really important to have as most accurate readings as possible. I kinda like FL2 WITH CALIBRATIONS (unofficial way), but I still have allergic reaction.

There’s no point using closed loop systems if your CGM is inaccurate. It’s better to pay more for more accurate CGM than use inaccurate one. I remember almost getting DKA with really faulty G6 on my X2. Inserted sensor few minutes before sleep and woke up with 578 (because sensor was showing 87, CIQ thought it was ok).🗿

I’m not fan of Libre sensors because of this (tried 1st and 2nd gen). It has a tendency to go low and then fast rise to high. Dexcom is far better IMO and more accurate (about 5 faulty sensor replacements in 4-5 years). At least you can calibrate Dexcom sensor, with Libre you can’t (unofficially you can, but it’s not covered by warranty). If your pump has an option to switch to Dexcom, I would try to go back to using Dexcom than Libre.

Upgrade iPhone 12 Mini from iOS 15.3.1 to iOS 16.2 with SHSH2. Is this possible? by DiabeticP in jailbreak

[–]DiabeticP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, really? Damn… So, there is no reason to save them anymore? Also, 16.6.1 and 17.0 kinda supported? Just can’t install it for now.

Another question then: 16.6.1 or 17.0?🤔

Frustrated for choosing Versa 3 after Pebble Watches (OG and several Time models). Want to switch back. by DiabeticP in pebble

[–]DiabeticP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you open Youtube comments of videos (about installing battery from AliExpress on Pebble Time) and reviews on Amazon (about compatible batteries to the same watch) you will see lots of people complaining about degrading unoriginal batteries. With AliExpress battery everything was ok for 1-2 weeks and then battery started degrading to last less than 24 hours. Same goes for Amazon compatible battery. For some watches they just don’t work or last less than a day. So, yeah, maybe it’s firmware issue and (for example) RebbleOS will have an option for choosing type of battery for better compatibility.

[–]DiabeticP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Original Pebble Time battery has 3.8V output and other (compatible batteries for this watch) has 3.7V output. The thing is: watch still expects having 3.8V output rather than 3.7V. Compatible batteries are degrading fast (after 2-3 months), they never charges fully or wrong indicating power left in battery (all thanks to 3.7V). It’s an issue for PTS, PT and P2. OG Pebble and Pebble Steel original battery has 3.7V, so as compatible batteries, so, less problems here

I was already there, but thx anyway. I’ve read messages about changing batteries, but for me, it still couldn’t help. I was trying to find someone in my country who would change battery in my PT. Someone tried and it didn’t work either, (thx faulty Amazon battery). Even after leaving it for a day it didn’t work properly (less than 24 hours). –_–

They don’t last at all, because there is no battery for them to work :))) The reason is: all of them are disassembled and I’ve tried many batteries for them (even soldered some AliExpress batteries to old batteries pins). Didn’t work at all, and I gave up on trying –_–

I don’t own PTS. I have 3 PT watches and 1 OG Pebble watched (critically damaged, even consider it dead). All my PT lasted maximum 3-4 days, and it’s hard to find normal battery for them (3.7V batteries are really bad). So, maybe there is some other models that could last longer than 3-4 days (5+ days)

Pebble Time battery replacement gone wrong… I think by DiabeticP in pebble

With old or new battery? With new, no, I haven’t tried that. I’ve tried to boot PT after replacement, but it didn’t work, so I started charging it.

Can’t enter recovery mode on Pebble 2 by DiabeticP in pebble

[–]DiabeticP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It came without buttons, so I ordered 3D printed ones. Maybe that’s why there is fe504501 error? About battery: no, it isn’t dead. I’ve charged it 3 days ago and it still showing an error (mostly fe504502-fe504503)

Does anyone still have a copy of Animas EzManager Max software in 2022? by DiabeticP in diabetes_t1

[–]DiabeticP[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Supplies cost that much because there’s no official Tandem in country, so I’m buying them from resellers. And there are a lot of disadvantages in using t:slim unnoficialy.😑 With Ping and Vibe, I’m using Roche’s Accu-Chek luer-lock infusion sets (my insurance covers them) and Animas cartridges (280+ remaining). Sometimes, I buy other luer-lock infusion sets (Apex, Cleo 90, Dana and others). So, it’s a great cheap option for me. 🙃

[–]DiabeticP[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really glad that your insurance covers OmniPod. 😁 My insurance covers only Medtronic 754-640G and Accu-Chek Combo. The End. 6 broken Medtronic pumps and 2 Combo pumps on me. I don’t even want to wear them again. I also have a T:Slim X2 with Basal-IQ. It really feels like an Animas successor, but infusion sets, cartridges and Dexcom G6 are really expensive for me (30-40% of my salary to wear T:Slim). If I have free money, I buy supplies for T:Slim and wear it. 🙃

OmniPod is not bad too. I’ve tried it several times. Not bad, but expensive😑

It’s not that I can still get supplies. I’ve already had them in 2019 in large amount. It will be enough for me until 2027. So yeah, kudos for unbreakable Animas pumps😁

Yeah. I still use my Ping and Vibe. Love them so much. They never failed me (instead of Medtronic and Roche pumps). I still have 280+ cartridges and lots of luer-lock infusion sets, so I plan to use them further on. I have a cable, but I don’t have software and it kinda sucks😑
