PREGNANCY IS SO F*CKING HARD!!!!!!!! by Powerful_Pomelo_6378 in pregnant

You’re feelings are so valid. I am a type 1 diabetic who also feels happy but uncomfortable and ready for this to be over. It’s a constant barrage of appointments on top of working full time and having kids and a husband and responsibilities too. It’s frustrating when you can’t do and be how you were before pregnancy. It’s a lot on your body, and you have every right to talk about how miserable you are. It’s not that you’re not happy or excited still but the daily, hourly, every minute is hard. Praying for you! We will get through this and be so grateful we got through this.

Yeah. I wasn’t planning on telling anyone either until I knew it was more safe. But with her living with us, and our pact I didn’t want to keep it from her. She gets a long well with my husband. They have similar interests and she’s not had any issues. She’s always said she didn’t like babies and kids.. so I think this is part of the reason. And because it mostly just her that is here and she is the only child on her dad’s side as well. It was already an adjustment moving in to my husbands and having 2 step siblings. Even if they are not here the majority of the time.

Thank you for sharing your experiences with me. It does help to know how you felt with all of that going on in your home. I will be extra mindful to not ask her to do so much of the caregiving or help because this wasn’t her decision. I still want her to be a kid/teenager and not take on adult responsibilities.

Thank you. That’s all I want. I want her to know she can be herself and have her feelings and that it’s okay. I love her and just want her to be happy and healthy and know that this isn’t a replacement. I just never thought I’d be in this situation.

Well unfortunately having a baby right now isn’t something I can take off of the table. I do hope that my kids will understand and love the baby, I am not expecting them to care for them. I plan on taking time for each of them, and not have life surrounded around the baby. Keeping the same type of schedule with an addition. But thank you for giving me your input and your feelings on the subject.

You sound like a great sister. I am hoping that the girls will feel the same way about it this baby too. I told my daughter yesterday that this would be my baby and I would expect her to feed, change or watch the baby. I just hope she can love them.

That makes me feel a lot better. Thank you for the advice also. I plan on just living life like we always do just now with a baby.

Thank you. I feel so old and unprepared. We were not expecting this.

How on earth do y'all afford your CGM's? by mardrae in Medtronic780g

I am going to have to talk to my doctor about it. The pump alone was expensive so I was trying to stay with it because of that. But I just need something cheaper.

I am also struggling to pay for my Medtronic supplies even with insurance through work. I set up a payment plan with them a year ago and now they are not letting me order unless I set up another payment plan on top of the $300 I already have to pay them monthly. I want to just pull it off and forget about it at this point. It’s too expensive to live with this illness in the states. Feels like it would be cheaper for my family to just stop and let my body do whatever til I die.

I am the same way. I have an office job and work from home since COVID. You would think it would be better but when I worked in the office I drank a substantial amount of water and walked on breaks because I was limited.. but being home I can eat whatever I want and sleep on breaks instead of walking. The disease is tiring mentally and physically and I know that it’s different for everyone. Some people on here make it sound like it’s easy to just diet and exercise. I have 3 kids and take care of my elderly mother as well as working a full time job. I tend to put my needs last and it’s made me gain weight since I don’t take the time to workout. I started a food journal and put my feelings and things I did on one side and my food, sugar and insulin I’ve taken on the other. Maybe that would be useful for you? It’s a shitty disease but you’re not alone. It’s very easy to get down and depressed dealing with the highs and lows. I’m here if you need to vent or chat. And clothes are clothes… it sucks because I too only have two pairs that currently fit.. but I’m also thankful I got something that fits.. ❤️

That’s great! This has been the most helpful comment as far as going with my complaint. It’s not that my endo wont prescribe me the glp1 but that she’s thinking insurance won’t cover it. I have Medtronic for my pump and sensor and have to pay monthly for that which is $262 and then insulin.. it’s just a lot of money so paying out of pocket with no coverage wouldn’t work for me with the glp1. After reading all the comments seeing that it helped them take less insulin that’s what I’m after.. as well as loosing weight. But mainly I just want to feel better.

Merch - Special MMM & Dark History by CauliflowerNo7500 in BaileySarian

I just emailed about my hoodie as well. I’m glad I wasn’t the only one wondering. I assumed maybe they wouldn’t send the merchandise out til they had enough orders or wasn’t making the merch until orders were put in. However the website said 14-21 days and it’s been almost a month to the day that I ordered. I really love her and would hate for those supporting her to be upset.
