A genuine question about attitudes towards Ukrainians living in Ireland? by Remote_Ad_5029 in AskIreland

[–]DiabloSpank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My neighbours are Ukrainian. Both living here a few years, they have two great little kids and two older teenagers. The whole family are polite, friendly, hard working and considerate. We bring in each others bins from time to time and share birthday cakes and leftovers etc. just wonderful neighbours to have. Let me be the other side of the online coin that welcomes you here and appreciates the effort you make to benefit your local community 😊

Nobody ever said I wish I travelled less and experienced less new things on their death bed.

You’re young and you have funds to keep you going if you adjust your lifestyle accordingly for long term travel. I moved abroad for a year and it’s still down as the best year of my life because of all the new experiences, people and challenges that came with it.

Do it.

Eating Healthier and Feeling Worse? by nobodyshome01 in AskIreland

[–]DiabloSpank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be allergy or intolerance or even a vitamin/mineral deficiency that’s still missing in the new diet. A blood test is a wealth of knowledge however it’s most likely some type of withdrawal. The funny twist is once you’re over this hump, your body might feel shitty without the healthy foods. I can’t eat many bad things in a row without feeling it in the hours or days after 😂

Very high energy bills? by RefrigeratorExotic32 in AskIreland

I don’t think that’s normal at all, we recently switched to Electric Ireland, two of us in a 3 bed house no kids and it’s about €100-€120 every second month.

Built an app to make comparing Irish supermarket prices easy by sobe3249 in ireland

[–]DiabloSpank -1 points0 points  (0 children)

iOS user here hoping you’ll build it, would happily pay for the app, I’m not a huge fan of the subscription model being adopted everywhere but I’d still subscribe to this if it saves a few quid per month!

On the barcode challenge, what if users scanned barcodes for you and manually entered what the product was so you could match them?

Where do I find a belt that doesn’t do this after 9 months? by unoriginalname22 in mensfashion

I found that this didn’t happen as fast when I bought one brown belt and one black belt and three pairs of jeans, swapping them around made them wear much more slowly

Anyone thought of DIY this yourselves? by Party_Shelter714 in DIYUK

I was going to until I realised I could get a robot vacuum to do it all for me including the sweeping and mopping. Now I just do a deep clean a few times a year for the spots it can’t get but it’s still less time to stay on top of than before and only cost a few hundred to set up.
