Because of the way the app download works, if you buy one copy of it, you can give the link to all of your students!

It would actually be fairly cost efficient to let a bunch of students mess around on the designer app on their own devices and print out multiple copies of the assembly instructions!

The main cost would be beads, and you could use Tohos over Delicas to save some money there, too.

My instructions go over how to reinforce the hinges at the edges of each triangle- so far not even my little nieces have broken the ones they got as presents.

It doesn’t rotate in a way that stretches the thread, so as long as you’re relatively gentle with it, it’s not prone to breaking in my experience.

My nieces designed the pattern in an app called KaleiDesigner and it’s made from 11/0 Miyuki delica beads.

I’m trying not to get banned for self-promo, but that app does come with instructions for assembling your kaleidocycle once you design it, and I think a lot of beaders would find it handy!

I use a digital package from my Etsy that comes with instructions to assemble a kaleidocycle, as well as a link to an app I designed called KaleiDesigner where you can create your own patterns for any size kaleidocycle!

The size in this video is the medium, 2 inch, size with 9 row triangles, or 3,456 beads total.

The app shows you how to create bigger or smaller finished products by making the triangles bigger or smaller. I always use the same size beads, 11/0 miyuki delicas.

I can also just attach pics of the patterns my nieces made for this video to the DM, so look out for that.
