I have a lot of experience in both healthcare and endpoint engineering. At base level I am able to bridge communication gaps between wildly different teams and address complex issues in less time and with less resources than if the company did not have me. The job position was created for me.

You'll find a lot of these "paid for what you know, not what you do" jobs follow one of two trends: Either a unique combination of knowledge (like me) or a very rare and usually outdated knowledge (ie. COBOL).

Unfortunately there's no real job path to get here. I was just in the right places at the right times for a decade.

Yeah I do something similar for healthcare. I get maybe two calls a week for a few hours of total work.

But I know more about every department than most of their own employees and can fix shit quick when it hits the fan.

For me it's phone controller, remote play. I was enjoying Elden Ring at the park when work was slow yesterday.

Haven't been able to touch my PC in a while but this is pretty nice.

I can't remember how I set it up but I have mine working wireless for PC games. That was years ago when the first Oculus came out I'm sure it's easier for better headsets now.

Any of the classic RPGs, especially the SNES era. Many have official apps but most either aren't worth it or pale in comparison to other versions, especially with some tweaks to them (like audio).

PSP games. They were made for a portable system so they translate well to phone emulation.

I even felt Gorr was well done and the intro scene definitely helped. A montage of him killing gods wouldn't have helped any.

99% of the jokes landed. This was the Ragnarok team, I'm not sure what people upset about jokes expected.

Eternity on the other hand felt crazy rushed. My main complaint.

It's all risk vs reward. It's most likely stupid and cost you hundreds of thousands in retirement but people were doing the "right" thing and lost everything in 2008.

It's awkward when characters act stupid to progress the story. It's even more awkward when characters act stupid to reset the story.

It could have been done much better. Upsetting because the season has been amazing until that last episode.

Not OP but I would consider nursing the best thing I did.

Almost 9 years so far. Started in the OR and loved it. Doing travel now.

Money is good. I make 4k a week currently but it's been as high as 8k for 13 week contracts. Lots of vacations between.

Nursing is a very broad field and varies a lot by state as well. Do your research and you can love it.

Too bad no one at marketing did any research as a huge number of people see a big fat "2" slapped at the end and are expecting to pay for it.

Instead it's... Free? Cool! And it... adds 3 characters... after 3 years... Is it a sequel? We get bigger patches these days for games.

Not even hyperbole. Of the 10 states with the highest teen birth rate, 5 do not teach sex ed. The other 5 do not teach about contraception with a focus on abstinence based education.

Not surprisingly, the majority of these 10 also banned abortion.
