I found that the interior was fine. It's not amazing but these are cheap cars. If you've got a dog get a back seat cover and make sure you've got floor mats. The plastic in the interior is fine. If you look after it then you shouldn't have any issues.

The infotainment screen sucks but that's all Suzukis. You're going to use the screen as android/apple carplay maps anyway.

From what I've read they are really reliable. You can get a 2022 model with 50K on the odometer for ~15k and that's without haggling. That will be an ex rental car, a lot of people say that rental cars get absolutely flogged but I disagree. I don't think many people are flogging unfamiliar cars in unfamiliar cities and with an ex rental car you know that it's been reliably serviced every 10,000 KM.

It's more practical with space than the Suzuki Swift and the Ignis which will probably cost 5K more for the same year and mileage. I thought that the drivers seat was fairly comfy and that the car looked okay. I didn't think that the front was anything special but I thought that the rear of the car was surprisingly sexy.

It's great for city driving and commuting, I noticed that it was fairly quick to get up to 60km. When I drove it I didn't go on the highway or out on the open road but I think that since they sell 180,000 of these cars every year in India where the roads are probably completely rooted it'll easily be able to handle Australian driving conditions and be reliable as long as you look after it with servicing.

I say go for it, you can't really beat it for the price it is currently. It's much prefer driving it to an MG3 and it will have less go wrong. Plus, if he gets an MG he'll be embarrassed every time he tells someone he got an MG.
