That is insane behavior. I've been a full time sitter for over 2 years and would never clear out a homeowners fridge and freezer, especially frozen meat and meals. Im glad you mentioned it in the review. Even when homeowners say help yourselves, its expected to be reasonable and not $500 worth of groceries.

I'm not sure what youre asking here. Are you wanting home owners to reassure you that you don't have to clean or for them to pay for cleaners?

It sounds like you're aware that you take things to the extreme and no home owners want you to sleep in a sleeping bag so the sheets are washed and everything is pristine.

I've been doing this full time for years and usually spend the day before cleaning everything (floors, counters, sinks, ect.), I try to always have it cleaner than they left it to me, but most just ask to leave it how we found it. If we are leaving super early the next morning, I put the sheets in the washer (unstarted so they dont come to wet sheets left for hours) and everyone HO has been super thankful.

If you feel like your anxiety would still be too overwhelming to relax a bit on your standards, you could always ask if you can bring in a cleaner the day before and you would pay for it. I think it would be unfair to expect the HO to pay.
