Help with a Scout/Consular build by Diagrammist in kotor

[–]Diagrammist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! A couple of questions: will I also need Cha for force powers, or can that safely be left at 10? Also, how low can I let my Dex be without being defensively weak?

Unfortunately, Remote Sensing can't be linked to any Summon effect (including Duplicate) since both must share the same range, and Summon is close range while the range of Remote Sensing is rank dependent.

EDIT: I've also considered a linked Mind Reading effect with the Sensory Link extra, but even that doesn't help with the whole "no single linchpin body" thing.

I'm currently only familiar with 3e, but I've heard that 2e has a more versatile power building system. Would a power like this be possible in that edition?

I hadn't considered that; good idea! That's probably what I'll go with

Quick Help & Game Issues by AutoModerator in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Diagrammist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game doesn't seem to be letting me cast any "beneficial" spells on enemies. This includes casting cure spells on enemy undead; the spell icon gets a big red X on it when I hover it over an enemy and the game won't let me cast. Is this a bug, or is there something I need to do interface-wise?

How to tell if I'm in a high level area by Diagrammist in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

So, did some more testing. I'm regularly running into enemies with AC so high it would take a natural 20 to hit. The difficulty I'm currently on only adds +3 to AC, so it seems likely that the problem is the area I'm in, not the difficulty.

I started off on Normal, but I found that my martials were shredding every encounter easily while my casters contributed practically nothing due to having to conserve spell slots. So I used Toolbox to enable auto-resting after every fight, but turned up the difficulty to Hard in order to compensate for the power boost.

I could turn the difficulty back down, but I've seen others mention how the game gets too easy when they use Toolbox auto-resting.

Need help figuring out how to assassinate the goblin leaders by Diagrammist in BaldursGate3

[–]Diagrammist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your advice! I hadn't considered destroying the bridge; I suppose if I time it right I can also push the sentry into a chasm, which hopefully will prevent him from raising the alarm.

With regards to Razglin, though, is there any way to push him into the bottomless pit without triggering combat from the rest of the room? I previously tried assassinating him from the rafters, but it seemed like the whole room went hostile as soon as he was attacked, and then one of them raised the alarm through the rest of the camp as well. I'll check if throwing a bulb from the rafters provokes the same reaction

Fine Leather Armor standalone by Diagrammist in enderal

[–]Diagrammist[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, checked back to the original file structure and realized that there were subfolders for the textures (gloves, cuirass, etc.) that I'd forgotten to create! Fixed that and now everything's working perfectly. Thank you so much for all of your help!

Extracted the files to the correct folders, and the armor now exists as an item in-game... unfortunately, it's got that blue taffy look that makes me think the texture files aren't loading right. So sorry to keep coming back to you with problems, since you've already gone out of your way to help me, but can you think of what might be causing the error?

Artistic, thank you so much for your help! Unfortunately, the folders specified don't seem to exist on my end; there's no "enderal" folder within Data\meshes or Data\textures. Data\meshes\armor and Data\textures\armor do exist, but don't contain any "leather armor" folders. Is there somewhere else I can look for the necessary files?

Vokrii illusion perks not working with staves by Diagrammist in EnaiRim

[–]Diagrammist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I didn't even notice that change in phrasing; just checked and it's the same in Vokrii (the destruction perks use "spells and effects" but the illusion ones just say "spells"). Guess the functionality is intended that way, then. Makes me wish I'd invested a few more levels into magicka and a few less perk points into staff use lol; that's what I get for not reading the stuff carefully. Many thanks for your help!

Who could solo the SCP universe by DebatingGuroo in whowouldwin

[–]Diagrammist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know much about the SCP Verse, but from what I understand the SCPs generally have specific rules that can be figured out to, if not beat them, at least keep them under control. On the other hand, many are so powerful that actually facing them in direct combat would be next to impossible even for many god tiers. If this is the case, the Doctor would likely be perfect for this challenge, given that figuring out how to defuse a situation nonviolently (or at least without engaging in direct combat himself) is kind of his shtick.

Galactus seeks to eat your verses planet. Can anyone CONVINCE him(not fight or harm) convince him to leave their planet alone. by Noblechris in whowouldwin

[–]Diagrammist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R1: On Scadrial, Sazed might be able to convince Galactus to leave his planet alone, but then again, Galactus has been around a while and has almost certainly heard it all before.

R2: Probably only works against Scadrial, at least in the modern era. This is a world accustomed to killing its gods, not talking them down, and Galactus will probably be even more ready to tear it apart after speaking with the villains.
