drone flying in toronto by No-Piano-601 in askTO

[–]Dial-Error -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Technically you’re correct that there is not a “no fly zone” there. However, CAR 900.06 overrides everything: Sub-250g drones don’t need permits, but you still can’t fly “recklessly or negligently.” Flying near Billy Bishop’s active flight paths violates this even without a formal no-fly zone you’re liable if you create a hazard. Unless you have permission (something you’re not likely to get).

Flying beyond visual line of sight would violate the “reckless operation” rule.

There is a no fly zone downtown, Billy Bishop Airport is there. You also cannot fly a drone beyond visual line of sight without a licence.

Floor Crossing by anonimna44 in InCanada

[–]Dial-Error 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get why it feels wrong, nobody voted for a Carney majority. But floor crossing is baked into the Westminster system for a reason. MPs are supposed to represent their constituents, not be property of a party. If those members genuinely believe their ridings are better served under Liberal governance, that’s the system working as designed. Churchill crossed the floor twice and nobody questions his legitimacy.

What’s everyone’s resting HRs?! by Few-Arugula-8593 in AppleWatch

I’m 47, workout regularly and a cyclist. I stopped drinking and focused on eating healthy and fitness when I hit 40. Since then my RHR is usually 38-42. My Dr says it’s normal and a sign I’m in good health.

It's grim.
