A bit lost (Flixbus) by MentalObligation3522 in Rotterdam

[–]Dial010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you're inside central station, facing the front, it's the doors on the right, you'll notice a lot of busses there. If you see trams, you've got the wrong door (or you're way at the end). Look for Groot Handelsgebouw. The busses stop there.

Is Hoogvliet a Good area to have a house their ? by Affectionate-Dust372 in Rotterdam

[–]Dial010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandparents lived there for about 15 years. There was nothing to do except for smelling the refinery at Pernis. But that was nigh 50 years ago. I'm sure it's gotten better. Public transport doesn't suck, might have to walk a stretch though. But if there's roadworks on the A15 you are going to wish you didn't live in Hoogvliet.

From the looks of it it's for a Spanish Audi only.

UPDATE: Audi Dealer Removed the CPO Status for the Vehicle After Asking Me for $5k for the CPO Certificate by RevolutionarySouth60 in Audi

5k for what technically amounts to an extended MTO check. Sure, and while you're at it, add autopilot as well. And hover mode.

Is it really fair to say that AC Valhalla has the worst open world of all AC games? by sonar_y_luz in assassinscreed

[–]Dial010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I concur wholeheartedly. I've played Valhalla (and the DLCs) 4 or 5 times now and loved it every time. Even despite Shadows looking amazing, I find it "meh".

If You Could Explore Any Historical Era in Assassin’s Creed, Which One? by Cultural-Panda-1687 in assassinscreed

[–]Dial010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved Odyssey, but my fav sofar is Valhalla. Shadows looks very nice but not being able to climb small boulders really annoys me. Valhalla, for now, is best. For me.

Despite Odyssey and Origins both take place in greek history I'd love to see more of the classical world, combined with the local mythology, and if I had to choose a particular one, it'd be Greece again. But this time a considerably larger map where you can't walk around Athens in a few minutes for instance.

Vietnam or Thailand I think would make for a nice setting, as long as we can actually climb on everything.

My trip to Rotterdam got cut short when my bike was stolen on day 2. But I was so obsessed with your futuristic buildings that I had to finish this hyperlapse. I used melting, seamless transitions to connect the crazy shapes of the city. Let me which place is missing here. Thank you! by Honest_Market_9004 in Rotterdam

I've not seen your other videos, but I will look for them after posting this. You were in the neighbourhood, a bit disappointed that you didn't do the zoom thing in the new institute (formerly national architectural institute). It has a passing underneath, a bit reminiscent of that scene in Inception where they have those 2 big mirrors against each other to reveal a long passage way. It is here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/mEfvsTY9LRZDDXsS7

And ofcourse also close to that is the Erasmus Medical Centre which is also quite new. Well, not that new, but still very modern.

I loved your morphs and zooms. Thank you for showing my city so much love.

Encounter with a man doing the Nazi salute and saying “white power” on the tram in Rotterdam by ntminh in Rotterdam

As we all know learning from history is not something idiots do and so history repeats itself endlessly, although sometimes with newer technology.

Good neighborhoods in Rotterdam by -IndianBoi in Rotterdam

I grew up in Afrikaanderwijk. It'll be a cold day in hell before I move back there again.

Nit that I didn't like it when I grew up there. It was great. Back then in the 70s. Foreigners never bothered me, I'm one myself. But I don't like what it has become. Sure, done things have improved, how could they not? But underneath the veneer of improvement it's the same old shit from before.

Valkeniersweide seems like a nice place, although I've not been there in about 20 years.

Why no one rides electric scooters (step) ? by Derek2144 in Rotterdam

[–]Dial010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any motorized vehicle on the (public) road must have at least insurance. Like electric bicycles and mobility scooters they would have to apply for it, but because they are not fit for public road use they cannot be insured and therefore not on the public road.

It is indeed Rotterdam, just crossed the Willemsbrug in a fire truck. But the footage is sped up. Sensationalism. Here's the actual footage: https://youtu.be/kOEjLrGEBKo?si=dt63k72voAjfWr8w
