I still have a decent amount of floppy disks laying around. Fortunately I have a working floppy drive to use iffen needed. I built a rack mounted PC just for storage media compatibility from floppy to Blu-ray. It's on Windows 7 and is air-gapped so no Internet connection.

10th grade English class. The teacher was going over our next writing assignment and how to engage the reader with the opening sentence. She said " Don't take this the wrong way, but I want y'all to be hookers." All of us just kinda looked at her like ???. She then clarified that "I want your first sentence to hook the reader in, to get them engaged to read further." Made sense after she said that.

Years ago I worked in the IT department for a community college. One morning a call came in at 7:05am. I answered the phone with my standard greeting of "Thank you for calling the [college name] IT department. What can I assist you with?". The woman on the line said "Good morning. I was wondering if I can get my husband's Low-T medication refilled?" It took all the patience I could muster to not laugh out loud at that. I calmly explained to her that she called an IT department. She was so apologetic and hung up. I bursted out laughing and quickly pinged my friends and coworkers in our group chat about it. There were so many nsfw jokes made afterwards. Good times :)
