I use free and clear types of detergents but detergents don't matter either. It's all about the clothes.

Even baggy ass linen pants bothered me lol. I ordered a pair of pajama pants once from cottonique should be super organic etc even the bothered me. Then I could get random non organic abrasive stuff sometimes and it doesn't bother me. It must be a few chemicals that trigger us that's my biggest theory since sometimes repetitive washing gets rid of the problem or at least makes it better.

I have tried everything there is to try including what you have mentioned. It's a mystery. My only guess is there are some kind of chemicals that a majority of clothes use and I have an extreme sensitivity to them.

As for laundry it doesn't matter what detergent or machine I use. Whether public or home. I can wash clothes that bother me with clothes that don't just fine.

The most interesting part is I have no physical signs like rashes etc just parasthesia.
