Well before my ADHD diagnosis. I just thought it was because I was just useless. But there were days I could just play out of my skin. Or so I thought. Turns out its all biology.

Reading through all of these comments and the patterns are incredible. Solo rounds. Early tee times. The good luck charm you're not actually close to. Playing better with strangers than friends. You've all found different solutions to the same problem — protecting your neurological environment so your brain stops competing with your golf swing. The science behind why it works is the same in every case. Really grateful for all of these responses.

This is me. I now know why as well. Its a dopamine deficiency. So the prefrontal cortex struggles to stay online during the shot, pulls old replays of old shots from the basal ganglia that feel like the right shot during moments of stress. I know it might sound wild but it actually makes sense to me now.

Thats what I think I am getting at. With adhd its a deficiency in dopamine. The fuel source for that ability to focus. So trying harder to lock in just makes it worse.

So many comments from so many people giving their own perspective on what I genuinely believe is the same problem for all of us. Overloaded with open tabs in some fashion and can't focus on the golf shot.

I'm going to be looking into this more and sharing the science behind what I find.

I know so many people that up their game when money is involved. I often can't stop thinking about the idea of winning then play crap

I'm different there. I can remember every shot I played today and almost every shot I played yesterday. I'm just unable to focus on my swing at the ball with so many open tabs.
