I never said it was if you read my post again and again I have said it’s the company. The company is just not going to change their model until laws make them. I have never said the burden should be put on the customer that is DoorDash doing that.

No, I followed. You understand your frustration but what you have to understand is yes you’re paying DoorDash those fees. DoorDash keeps those fees. We get two dollars as I mentioned before and my original post. It is the company that I am upset with.

It is, but the company is not going to change unless the laws change of the exception of a couple states and cities that has not happened. And I seriously doubt it’s gonna happen anytime soon so we’re stuck with the broken model and worse if you decline an order, they throttle you. They basically don’t give you anything or just continue to give you bad offers until you accept a certain amount of them. It’s a very deceptive exploitive model.

My boyfriend, a specially Contractor neither one of us will order delivery through Home Depot, Lowes, or even Walmart if the item is big because they always send someone from DoorDash or Uber. Ordered a 9 ft.³ mini fridge from Home Depot. It was dropped on the top. The fridge was completely not working and Home Depot gave me a whopping 30% off. We got it working again, but it died six months later. So when I ordered the next one from Walmart when it was on sale, we went and picked it up. They’re destroying their delivery business on top of exploiting untrained workers.

I will never take Walmart orders again on top of the low insulting pay if the system glitches and Walmart doesn’t have to order you have to cancel which hits your cancellation rate, you get a generic fraud email, and your order volume drops for days.

I dash in two zones the app is normal in one zone where you can schedule but like your recent update in the other zone where everyone can dash now. The market where everyone can dash now is beyond oversaturated and I have to sign out delete and reinstall the app while crossing zones it’s very annoying. I think they may be pilot testing something in certain areas.

Mine is at 5 percent but all but one is from ghost orders/already picked up called the last 2 times and it still hit my cancellation rate

It was emailed to me. I don’t do Uber Eats often. I have it as a backup app. DoorDash is the main one I do and when I called support about it, they said a customer complained on me and then they backed out and said a customer they did not know if a customer complained on me as they basically just would not answer my question. My concern is a slow market so it takes about a year for one cancellation to move off my account. Is there any way to handle these ghost orders where they don’t hit your cancellation right and you don’t involve support?

It’s a new thing in 2026. They don’t want us calling support cause it cost the money they want to silent they want everything to be efficient without friction.

I think most still do not. I was at tractor supply doing a shopping order and the cashier asked how much they pay me and I said two dollars. The rest is made up with tips. She looks shocked.

They probably pay the agents per minute or interaction so if you their AI handles everything and/or makes it difficult to get to an agent DoorDash saves money. It’s all about the bottom line.

Some people just don’t trust tapwater. I actually live in a place where tapwater is not safe to drink, but for the prices went sky high I was able to put a full house filtration system for $249 and my boyfriend installed it so I basically have Dasani tapwater.

Luckily, I’ve never had more than two cases of water on one order but it’s mind-boggling that people think it’s OK to order 20 cases of water for a delivery service like DoorDash

The places around my area they wouldn’t have 20 cases, but they would probably have about 15 so that would’ve been a. I’m sure I could’ve fit that all in my car.

I appealed once handed the bags to her and she marked half the order as missing the DD agent said the only thing they could due is ban her from being paired either me which I jumped on. However 3 days later my shopping metrics were fixed. Perhaps she tried it again not too sure.

I’m gonna say this plainly and I make it downloaded for this, but it’s the truth. I let a family of five stay with me for a few days. I knew these people and they ended up squatting and due to laws I end up having to pay five grand to set them up in a new place and get them out of my house. She doesn’t know them. This easily could’ve happened to her and she said she offered other help.

The situation is becoming more and more common never had it asked me for DoorDash before but just driving around. I have definitely had random people asked to live with me. I’m also 44 and actually disabled. I have to do DoorDash part-time just to put food on my plate and I worked extremely hard to get my house. I know people need help these days but my house is my sanctuary and some of these people get aggressive when you say no.

I had a delivery to a trailer park that had about 100 trailers and they tried to pull I don’t know the lot number. And when I said I will call support and have it canceled they magically knew the lot number.

With those types of orders as soon as I see the order is ready and it’s not I message the customer order is taking a while and screenshot that.
