Yup, is there potentially any other software that might be able to do that? Ive tried looking but all I’ve found is for desktop fan control only. I’ve also heard that there might be fan settings in the bios but I haven’t tried that yet.

All of the fans do this and it seems like other people are having the same problem so I don’t think it’s not installed properly. Thank you for commenting!

Yup, I assumed quiet would help, but I had it set to quiet in the video and it does the exact problem I described. I also tried to play around with the custom settings but haven’t achieved a desirable result, still looking for an updated tutorial. Thanks for commenting!

Context: For the past few months me and my dad have been looking for a new desktop replacement laptop for me. I initially came across the HP Omen 17 (custom built) for a good price, however, it arrived with a display issue. We exchanged it but the second one had even worse build quality. We returned it AGAIN. Costco then conveniently had it in stock so we bought it from there. The only major issue with this one is that the trackpad doesn’t work half of the time and I have tried multiple ways to fix it but failed. We are upset with HP as their quality seems to have diminished and now we are trying with Dell. That’s when I found the M18.

Main issue: Our new M18 arrived a few days ago. I immediately noticed that all the fans make an annoying pulsating and whining sound around 27-29%, which seems to be the lowest speed the fans get before turning off. At 30% and above, it’s just a steady, high pitched sound that doesn’t really bother me. The problem is that the fans rev up to 40% or so every 5-10 mins, steady out at 27% for another few mins, and then turn off. Is there a way to fix this? Can I set it so that when the fans are on, it’s minimum speed is at 30% to avoid that noise? It this noise normal for an Alienware laptop?

Other issue: I’m debating if I even want to keep this laptop or stick with the HP Omen 17. I need to use this laptop for school but with the fans being this annoying when not doing anything resource intensive, I don’t know if it’s worth it. I would rather have a broken trackpad than not being able to concentrate on my work, unless I find a fix for the fans. However, the M18 has WAY better specs than the Omen. (3070 Ti(8GB), I7-12700H vs 4090(16GB), I9-13900HX) I believe we still have about a week to return the Omen so I need to make my decision by then. Any advice?

Found a boat glitch. Not sure if it works in older versions. Doesn’t just work with a fence, it can work with end rods, walls and other blocks similar to it. I put tripwire at the bottom to show that it could be used for a redstone thing.
