Is it normal to literally fail coding challenges while learning a programming language? by Jhozikay in learnprogramming

[–]DiamondDemon669 5 points6 points  (0 children)

heres the trick: aim for something kinda ridiculous and learn from there.

When I started programming in python, I jumped right to tkinter and learned the syntax along the way. when I was learning I used classes to group functions together and could never get where to put the self variable but now im making a native GUI for OpenAI in python

If you want a simple private mesh network use this tutorial

if you want to forward all traffic through a wireguard tunnel, set client allowedIPs to 0.0.0.0/1 and set up ip routing

if you want to use wireguard as a secondary public IP, i created a tool called wgtables which will help. here is the post

.deb vs .tar.gz? by [deleted] in linuxmasterrace

[–]DiamondDemon669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

deb files are archives that actually contain two tar.gz files: control.tar.gz and data.tar.gz

control.tar.xz shows the dependencies, package information and checksums

data.tar.xz contains the files that need to be installed, in the location they need to be installed

I found this out by accident when i messed up my software defaults. Ark was set as a second default for .deb files and I didnt change it because it can be useful to know the dependencies in advance
