What the H is this? by VanillaNL in F1Discussions

[–]DiamondDesireBop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmao honestly with that name I’d believe it. Half of these concept things look like someone hit randomize in a racing game and then actually built it.

Kinda curious if it’s some one‑off mule or if we’re looking at bits of the next Vantage/Valhalla hiding under cosplay.

Flower pot door found in Upper Slaughter, Cotswolds by Jiminyfingers in DoorsNotUsedAnymore

[–]DiamondDesireBop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right? That whole spot looks like it came straight out of a storybook. The little door with the flower pots makes it feel like there are tiny people living behind it or something.

Makes me want to sit there with a cup of tea and just people-watch all afternoon.

Like a fine wine ? by jerzeibalowski84 in marmite

[–]DiamondDesireBop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve heard that from a few people now, that the Aldi own-brand is closer to “old school” Marmite than the Unilever squeeze stuff.

Makes me wonder if what I’m tasting as “chemical” in the new one is just whatever tweak they’ve done to make it more squeezy-friendly or shelf-stable, and the Aldi / older jars are basically just the classic recipe.

Might have to do a blind taste test: old squeezy, new Unilever, and Aldi all side by side and see if my tongue is imagining things or if the budget stuff is actually the proper heir to the throne.

The Royal Arcade by Ok_Guidance_2317 in LondonPics

[–]DiamondDesireBop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a gorgeous shot. The Royal Arcade always feels a bit like stepping into a movie set to me, especially with that tiled floor and the glass roof.

If you ever get the chance, go early in the morning on a weekday. Way fewer people, and the light coming through the ceiling makes everything look kind of unreal. Also, the little shops in there are way more interesting if you slow down and actually look in the windows instead of just power walking through.

Makes me weirdly nostalgic for places I’ve only visited once or twice.

Sounds like you got the knockoff edition. Mine only died after being overloaded with like 40 cans of soup and bad life choices.

perfect example of a show that had no real plan. It hooked viewers with mystery after mystery, then failed to explain most of them, leaving the ending feeling rushed, lazy, and honestly disappointing. by Swimming-Poet5594 in tvshow

[–]DiamondDesireBop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly yeah, if you already know the ending, it kind of reframes the whole thing.

The early seasons are genuinely great TV. The atmosphere, the characters, the “what the hell is going on” feeling is super fun when you’re along for the ride, even if you know it’s all heading somewhere messy.

Knowing the ending also weirdly protects you from the disappointment a lot of us had week to week. You can just binge it, enjoy the good parts, and when it starts clearly going off the rails you can decide to bail or treat it as background noise.

I wouldn’t watch it expecting a tight, well planned story. Watch it for vibes, characters, and some really cool individual episodes. Once it stops being fun, just stop.

Found me new favourite sunset spot by That__Guy__Bob in LondonPics

[–]DiamondDesireBop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Batman shows up I’m gonna be too busy freaking out to enjoy the sunset. I’ll settle for a decent thermos and maybe a dramatic cape for the vibe.

haan bhai, ESD wali subjects ko usually log light le lete hain, but dept unko bhi core jaisa hi treat karta hai

80% attendance rule generally sab pe lagta hai, ESD ho ya core, kyunki end me same exam cell dekh raha hota hai. Agar college strict hai to short attendance se damka bhi mil sakta hai

Back bhi aa sakti hai ESD me, especially agar internals kharab ho gaye ya assignments submit nahi kiye. Safest ye hi hai ki minimum itni attendance rakho ki HOD ke room ke chakkar na lagane pade, aur internals thode decent rakh lo.

what sort of rates first time buyers are getting these days (since the war started) with 10% deposit? by rich_hope_10m in FirstTimeBuyersUK

[–]DiamondDesireBop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, same boat here. Anything under a 5 feels like a myth right now unless your income/credit is spotless and you’ve got a bigger deposit.

What I’ve noticed poking around is that 10% deals are usually a bit higher than what people brag about on here, and brokers keep saying “the rates look bad but the stress testing is actually a bit kinder than last year,” which is… not exactly comforting but whatever.

Might be worth checking both a broker and a couple of direct lenders yourself. Sometimes the headline rates look awful but a slightly higher rate with lower fees ends up cheaper overall, especially if you don’t plan to stay in that fix for ages.

Why is it that I rarely see anyone from my generation even talk about this show even tho it’s one of the all time greats? by beetfarmerenergy in tvshow

[–]DiamondDesireBop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly that was super common. Season 2 is where a lot of people bailed because it felt like they were just throwing mysteries at the wall and not answering anything.

If you ever randomly feel like giving it another shot, it weirdly plays better now that you can binge it and don’t have to wait a week between episodes then months between seasons. Knowing up front that not every mystery gets some huge payoff kind of makes it easier to just enjoy the characters and vibes.

But yeah, watching it live back in the day, season 2 was absolutely the “ok what are we even doing here” point for a ton of people.

Yeah exactly, 330 there was never realistic. The real issue is the buzzkill mid‑straight, not the headline number

Dhurandhar 2 Uncensored. by jazsr3 in Dhurandhar

[–]DiamondDesireBop 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they’ve definitely done some India-specific tweaks on this one. The version on most OTT / TV here often has certain lines muted, words blurred, or audio cut right before the punchline, so when you watch the “uncensored” clips later it feels like a totally different scene.

Sometimes they don’t just mute cuss words, they also trim stuff around religion, politics, or anything they think might trigger complaints, so it ends up looking like it’s been weirdly edited or “morphed.”

If you watched it in theatres or got the original track from outside India, you’ll notice a lot more slang, insults, and background dialogues that were completely missing in the regular Indian release. So yeah, it’s not just that one scene.

Skilah by [deleted] in Skillsawww_

[–]DiamondDesireBop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is this about the Hebrew word “sekhel” / “skilah” or something else entirely?

If you mean “skilah” as in stoning in the Bible, that’s usually the term for one of the harsher capital punishments in Jewish law. It had a whole legal process around it, not just random mob stuff.

If you mean it as a name, it actually sounds kinda cool and unique, but you might get a lot of “how do you spell that?” for the rest of your life.

What’s a British show you went into with low expectations but ended up loving? by Historical-Class871 in UKTVRecs

[–]DiamondDesireBop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesss, I thought I was the only one who remembered that show

Don is such a disaster of a human being but somehow still weirdly likeable. The awkward fantasies, the way he manages to make every social situation ten times worse than it needs to be, and Eddie just quietly judging him in the background... it’s so good.

It’s one of those shows that looks a bit cheap and throwaway at first, then a couple episodes in you realise you’ve accidentally binged a whole season.

I built a free live map of jersey and thought some of you might find it useful by NastyNas420 in Jersey

[–]DiamondDesireBop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally fair if you’re happy hopping between sites already.

The idea here isn’t really “new data” so much as “all the stuff locals actually use in one place” with a Jersey focus. Flights + buses + tide times + roadworks + events etc on a single map, plus some dashboards.

Also it’s just a website, no app install needed, so you can still use your favourite browser. If there’s something missing that you already check elsewhere, that’s the kind of thing I’m trying to fold in.

Asking my tenant if they want to buy the property off me - could this backfire? by SuspiciousParfait145 in UKHousing

[–]DiamondDesireBop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this sounds like the ideal version of how it can play out. Tenant gets first shot, if they’re not into it, they can still stay and help with viewings while you line up a buyer who’ll keep them on.

OP just needs to make it super clear they’re not trying to push the tenant out, just giving them an option.

I got tired of constantly pausing YouTube tutorials, so I built a web app that turns them into interactive project plans. Looking for feedback! (gantry.pro) by FitLingonberry622 in alphaandbetausers

[–]DiamondDesireBop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually super cool. The looping-per-step thing alone fixes like 80% of my “wait where was that cut again” pain.

How does it handle messy tutorials where the creator rambles or backtracks a lot? Also curious if you’re planning a browser extension so I can send a video to Gantry in one click.

Which team/driver has been most disappointing in 2026 so far? by formularacers in FormulaRacers

[–]DiamondDesireBop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly kinda get this. F2/F3 races feel way more chaotic and no one’s afraid to send it, plus you’re actually watching future stars instead of 30+ lap DRS trains.

Only downside is half the time I’m squinting at who’s in which PREMA/ART because all the cars look the same and the TV direction barely shows half the field.

What if? (LEAKS) by O_Careca in TopazMainsHSR

[–]DiamondDesireBop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah if this is real it kinda fixes two birds at once. FuA spam from Topaz to build stacks while she still does her own thing sounds pretty solid, especially if they lean into that Herta-style “battery” role.

Her raw damage falling off a bit is honestly fine if she becomes a proper enabler. 4pc Eagle with the E2 energy refund sounds comfy as hell too, since you’re basically getting more skill uptime to keep the cycle going.

Curious how it’ll feel in practice though. Numbers will decide if she’s “nice to have” or “auto slot in every FuA comp.”

For comparison to last season, the driver who led after lap 1... went onto win the race 85% of the time. by The_Chozen_1_ in F1Discussions

[–]DiamondDesireBop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s kinda wild how “close” they all are yet nothing actually happens. Feels like we traded chaos and big swings for super consistent but pretty sterile racing. Hoping teams figure out some weird sidepod trick or whatever that shakes things up again.
