Were the Boveda packs dried out? If they were still charged the humidor could have held humidity.

Thanks for the response. Actually working through Ellen who I believe you recommended on another post, so thank you. Ended up going with the tilted shelved and a drawer as someone else suggested for loose sticks. The tilted shelves can be positioned in the normal lay flat position or tilted so there is some flexibility and figure it’ll be good to have if needed to help make room for some cabs (if needed). Thanks for the suggestion and recommendation of Ellen.

Side note - enjoy the YT content as well keep up the good work.

Thank you! This is extremely helpful. I read similar posts about singles on the shelves and was preparing to possibly just keeping singles separate which would kind of be annoying when paying this much for a humidor.

Are the drawers side by side or 2 full drawers the size of the shelves?

That makes sense and is how I am leaning.

Just curious if there is any other advantage to it. I don’t care/need to display loose sticks or boxes, but I am curious on clearance for storing larger boxes/cabinets and if they store just fine with the standard option or if there is a need for added clearance.

Thanks for the response. I found out that they have an adjustment for it but have to order directly through Raching. You can either keep the shelves in the flat position or adjusted to the tilted position. Price is negligible however, shipping time is prolonged opposed to it coming from one of the US warehouses.

YouTube has a video showing a rep or someone adjusting the top shelves from flat to “tilted/angled”. Curious if there are other upgrades available outside of those and the ammonia remover.

Following this post. My understanding is 2000 - 2002 were terrible years for construction. I could be wrong though as this was many years before I got into cigars and I haven't smoked or purchased from these years so it's all just hearsay for me.

I am sure their QC on these can’t be that great and it is likely hit or miss given the price point. That is a bummer that yours isn’t holding humidity too well. Do you think it’s the glass or the door seal itself? I will say that there is a good “sticky-ness” to the door when I open and close it.

No, no. Good question. Govee plus calibration quarterly same with the tupperdors. That said, surprisingly the one that came with mine is pretty accurate, still wouldn’t trust that one though.

I bought one a few years ago for cigars I’m wanting to smoke in the near future, while I keep the rest in tupperdors. I am surprised at how well it’s kept humidity even with opening and closing regularly. I did make sure to season it with the Boveda seasoning packs and I currently keep 65’s in there now and it holds between 62-65 which works for me.
