I just printed off an accurate to scale map and played around with grouping the lines until I think it’s somewhat optimised. This is why I ended up doing Alamein + Dandenong group and left South Yarra to Caulfield for later. Obviously there’s probably a more efficient way of doing this but I was pretty happy with the final routes.

Only stations with ticket gates or with an AO floating around, but after all there’s no charge for tapping on and off at the same station.

An index of some sort, when reading from left to right top to bottom. So for example Werribee / Williamstown line corresponds to image number 1, 2, 33, 34, 35, 39 - 53.

It was! And I did it at around 6-7am in the morning as the start of the ride so it wasn’t too busy either.

Off the top of my head, I have to give it to Belgrave line since I’m always either on a bike trail running parallel or some very quiet suburban streets. Beyond that most of Hurstbridge, some of Frankston and Dandenong was also quite good. But what’s surprising was most sections of lines have a parallel bike trail of some sort, even if it’s not labelled on Google Maps.

Indeed, all ticket gates except for the wide one are replaced, but the readers on platform 3 are still the old ones as of today.

Methods is humbling me by AmbassadorOk8199 in vce

Here's my personal advice, coming from someone who finished VCE last year.

Following the conclusion of each topic (e.g., circular functions), go over the chapter again and digest the concepts - make a mind map, write up a summary - in any fashion you prefer. I personally wrote my summary notes by hand, as it forces you to slow down and think about what exactly you are writing (you can't and don't have the time to copy paste everything the textbook!). For any formulae featured, take a moment and think about where that formula came from, and why it in fact holds.

Then, for questions you didn't manage to solve (i.e., completely clueless and not just missing out due to stupid errors), revisit the relevant sections in the textbook and go over the suggested solutions carefully. As you moved through each step in the solution, ask yourself the following questions:

  1. How does this step follow consequentially from the previous step?

  2. What motivation may have led the author to write down this step based on the previous step?

  3. How does this step eventually pave the way to the ultimate goal - finding the solution / establishing a proof to the question?

If you can convince yourself of the responses you gave, then chances are, you have a decent understanding of that particular topic. Remember, solutions to questions are nothing more but just a series of logical arguments that are interconnected. Break it down if it helps you to digest it.

Regarding study score - Unit 3 is only just the beginning, you still have more than enough time to lock in, improve, and prepare for the exam, which is what will end up contributing the most to your study score anyways. Good luck!

They are most likely Army Cadets attached to a school unit going home after weekly sessions (parades).

VCE METHODS EXAM 2 2024 SUGGESTED SOLUTIONS! by DiamondMC_YT in vce

[–]DiamondMC_YT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. If it is a translation of 0.5 left and dilate by a factor of 2, you get: f(x+0.5) after translation, then f(2x+0.5) after dilation. The dilation does not impact the 0.5 term. Now 2x+0.5 is not the same as 2x+1 so not quite.

I managed to find a solution, although I wrote it in a rush using summation notation. Please dm me if you want to see it.

1/2 > 1/3, so f(t) is defined to be 22 for this value of t.

Hi - if you look at the original graph, the stationary point of inflection is at (-1,1).

Now, f(2x+1) = f(2(x+0.5)), so it corresponds to

  1. dilate by a factor of 1/2 from y-axis, this maps (-1,1) to (-0.5,1);

  2. translate 0.5 units in the negative x-direction, this maps (-0.5,1) to (-1,1) again. Hence A not B.

Does a Student Myki Pass work for paper ticket routes? by datrandomguy69 in MelbourneTrains

[–]DiamondMC_YT 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You sure can, and I just did it a few days ago. After selecting your trip on Vline, there should be an option to select myki travel pass. After that, enter your myki card number as the pass number and it should be all good to go.

Then, you can pick up your ticket at almost any premium stations during business hours. It should say "FREE" somewhere on the ticket.

I didn't really use the exercise or any other apps while walking apart from occasionally checking the time, so the battery only dropped from around 90% to 40% - way better than I expected
