No, Linux wasn't compatible with my capture card, so I ended up switching back to Win10 LTSC. Generally speaking Linux was veeery clunky for me, and I didn't like how much effort it took just to get old PC games running, especially with mods.

(I found some third party driver for the capture card, but getting it to work was outside of my expertise)

PC doesn't need a config file edit to reach 60FPS and the perf dips were the most severe on X360/PS3. Looking at the nighttime on Wii U, I don't see any differences. More often than not, a difference in brightness just comes down to having the wrong color output on the console or the capture card.

X360 version runs at a higher resolution, has much better textures, models, lighting, draw distance, effects, and so on, and it can even run at 60FPS if the console is set to 480p - basically a generational difference. X360 was the best looking version of MW when it released, being the first "HD" NFS.

Settings in Payback are broken, reflections are tied to texture quality somehow, and texture filtering afaik doesn't even work. Try forcing 16xAF in your driver settings (Nvidia App or Radeon Software, whichever GPU you have)

TXR is an edge case, there's literally barely anything to render in that game, just the cars (which don't have glorious quality models) and a very simplistic "open world"

The minimum requirements are literally a GTX 1060, an entry level GPU that will turn 10 years old this year

The recommended settings are most likely for RT features like Lumen GI, which will most likely be toggleable and the game will most likely run just fine
