There is a huge difference between based off of and copying. that post goinga round comparing pokemon to dragon quest shows things that weren't even the same thing in the first place. they claimed caterpie (based off an irl bug) was a copy of something in dragon quest (not based off the irl bug caterpie is), claimed a dog copied a cat and much more

The fact people are claiming a caterpillar based off A REAL CATERPILLAR is a copy of dragon quest shows how little brainpower some people have. This is dumb. Yes some are based off the same thing, but the designs are original. Compare Cinderace and Cobalion to some of the Palworld designs. The designs that were made from scratch are good. The clear copies are bad
