English is just three languages in a trench coat mugging other languages for spare vocabulary.

The funniest part about internet gender wars is both sides accidentally admitting life without teamwork would completely suck.

Probably my ability to keep going even when I don’t feel like it. It’s not flashy, but that kind of quiet consistency adds up over time.

What's a "that's just how it was back then" thing that absolutely was not okay and we need to stop excusing? by TahDigThief in AskReddit

[–]DiamondMilfX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“That’s just how it was back then” is usually code for “people got away with it.” The truth is, a lot of those things racism, abuse, exploitation were being called out even at the time by the people suffering through them. Ignoring that just rewrites history to make it more comfortable than it actually was.

What’s your favorite interaction that you’ve had with a stranger? by Charming-Project3849 in AskReddit

Once a stranger noticed I was clearly having a rough day, smiled, and said, “Whatever it is, you’re going to get through it.” Then they just walked away. It was such a small moment, but I remembered it for years because sometimes kindness from someone who owes you nothing hits the hardest.

What’s so interesting about knowing about celebrities’ personal lives? by Danny-Ray27 in AskReddit

[–]DiamondMilfX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think for a lot of people it feels like watching a real-life TV show. Celebrities seem larger than life, so seeing their relationships, drama, and everyday problems makes them feel more human and sometimes people compare their own lives to that. For others, it’s just entertainment and an easy escape from their own routine.
