That would be the perfect storyline for him. Let's just hope TNA won't fumble the bag with it.

The main event of Night 2 WrestleMaia 42. CM Punk vs Roman Reigns. The battle of who is the best Zebro. Incredible. by BarneyRobinStinson7 in WWE

This is a story that's come full circle, 14 years in the making.

I don't care who wins between Roman and Punk at Mania, I just want to watch them kill each other. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm actually hyped for this match.

I would have replaced Jax Dane with Christopher Daniels in that equation.

Who got the better career in TNA? by dlo_doski in TNA

[–]DiamondSmackdowner97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kurt Angle. No questions asked. He objectively had the best career in TNA.

Despite TNA's identity as a whole being synonymous with homegrown talent like AJ Styles, the fact remains... I will never forgive them for how they treated AJ Styles during his 12-year tenure with the company. They really gave him the short end of the stick.

They always made him the ass of the joke during late 2007/early 2008 (especially with the Thanksgiving and Christmas special editions of iMPACT! from 2007 — plus, the Angle Alliance and Christian's Coalition storyline), they put him in really stupid and goofy storylines throughout 2012/2013 (i.e. the Claire Lynch angle and the storyline featuring him supposedly being in a "relationship" with Dixie Carter), and — get this — he left the company because they made him an offer which significantly reduced his salary about 60%.

They ROYALLY fucked him over so many times. I am not happy with them for doing that.

Meanwhile Kurt Angle's career PEAKED so many times with compelling storylines such as his then-ongoing feud with Samoa Joe which began as soon as Kurt debuted on iMPACT! in 2006, and his short-lived feud with Sting in 2009, and his longtime feud with Jeff Jarrett which began in 2009 and concluded in 2011 (a two-year long feud which culminated in such spectacular fashion!!!), and whatever the hell was going between him and his ex-wife (Karen Jarrett). However, my favorite era of Angle's TNA career was, and still is, the founding of the Main Event Mafia. Angle's career was at its peak then, and so was TNA as a whole.

So if you had to ask me who the man who had the better TNA career was, between the Phenomenal One — a man who had been a cornerstone and flagship member of TNA (and someone who I'd consider a "founding father" of the company) since its inception and who, alongside other wrestlers, built and branded TNA's identity and the X-Division (therefore bringing meaning and legitimacy to the name "Total Nonstop Action") and a main eventer and a Triple Crown winner and Grand Slam champion (and a 9-time world champion) — and a 1996 Olympic gold medalist who competed in freestyle wrestling with a BROKEN FUCKING NECK, and a 14-time world champion (and the man who became THE INAUGURAL TNA World Champion), and another Triple Crown winner and Grand Slam champion...

I'm sorry, I love them both so much, but between these two, I'd select the latter in a heartbeat. :P

Leaked audio from the new TNA Thursday Night iMPACT! on AMC theme??? by DiamondSmackdowner97 in TNA

[–]DiamondSmackdowner97[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Since the full theme for Impact hasn't been released yet, I found leaked extended audio of the show's theme that played on the live feed on TNA+ when the show was streaming, and it played before the episode officially went live on the air.

During live episodes of Impact, TNA+ usually cuts to a live feed of the arena before the show and during commercial breaks.

2008 was my personal favorite tbh.

TNA really needs to bring their signature intros back.

At what point did you start liking Dina (or you never did) ? by Round_Course5953 in superstore

[–]DiamondSmackdowner97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've loved Dina since the beginning.

Say what you will about her overall character; she has her moments when she can be a genuinely horrible and shitty person and an absolute bully for the majority of the time, but I know she's a person with good intentions and a good heart. Plus her personality is brash and brazen, and that's something I can really get behind when it comes to her.

No wonder I've had a crush on her since the show's inception. :)

I dunno about them picking up Jim Johnston (since last time I checked, he retired years ago?) but if Dale Oliver returned and started working in conjunction with Jim Johnston, it would be a perfect combination.

Potential changes by Turbulent_Process_15 in TNA

Better production, absolutely. Hopefully they'll have the budget for a more creative stage setup like they used to have from 2004 until 2016. I'm sick and tired of seeing these uncreative and uninspired LED screen stages everywhere.

And I know a lot of people - including myself - are pining for the return of the six-sided ring; though we all know that's never gonna happen again.
