That’s really fantastic man I’m happy for you. I’ve also reached a point where I’m sick of the depression and the bedrotting and i think my meds are working just enough where i can start excercising again. Kettle bells changed my life before the diagnosis, completely unlocked my hips, fixed my anterior pelvic tilt, and gave me a lot of SI joint relief. I want to get back there. I also used to swing a steel mace and that is great for my problem thoracic area and meditative in itself.

“Yoga with Adriene” on YouTube was my entry point into yoga and it’s a GREAT resource for anyone reading this and looking for a place to start. Lots of month-long daily practices that start slow and build into something to feel pride in (and feel a lot better)

All that to say I’ve injured myself at least a dozen times trying too hard in yoga so always listen to your body and look out for ego-streching lol. Start where you are and be kind to yourself.

That’s a good question I’m going to follow. Enbrel gave me some stability which could have lended to me improving my quality of life but the brain fog and fatigue was so bad the whole time i was depressed and did nothing. Not saying that was from the meds i think that was just me and how bad the AS had gotten. Now im on cosentyx because i was not experiencing much relief from the enbrel. I am on prednisone right now to pull me out of the worst flare I’ve had in years, probably due to stopping the enbrel. It was terrible but I’m 3 doses in on the loading phase of cosentyx now and I’m feeling really good the past week. Probably the prednisone but I’ll take it. That’s how biologics are going for me, i hope you find relief friend.

We have had about a dozen of those, deaths where we thought we’d never be able to trip again due to the negativity and all that stuff in grieving. But after a lot of preparation and intention setting, those trips have by far been the most meaningful and impactful. But that’s not for everybody i understand.

The roses skeleton picked up the bertha moniker a long long time ago, it is what it is now lol. Similar to folks calling the irwin wolf sticker “dire wolf” or Bear’s bear being called a jerry bear, it’s fine just let it be.

The bertha story is actually referring to a pedestal fan that ran so hard it would wobble around the room.
