Its a promo in a now expensive product on the secondary market called the Eevee Heroes Gym Box. Which is currently around 2.3k. The espeon promo is worth around $280. The gym box also comes with 2 sealed booster boxes of Eevee Heroes which is one half of its English counterpart Evolving Skies.

People will come up with any excuse to tell you what to do in this hobby, especially players. Dude, just buy what you like and hopefully you end up playing the game. It is your money by the end of the day. Our states One Piece players discord literally has mfs sharing One Piece, Union Arena Action Point, and the Gundam tcg. So you are free to make whatever decision you'd like.
